Yoruba actress Tawa Ajisefinni has shared a story about an unusual experience she said happened to her about 15 to 16 years ago while returning from a movie set in Ibadan.

The actress recounted the experience in a video shared on TikTok, where she spoke in Yoruba and advised people to be careful about where they step, particularly when they come across water on the road.

According to Tawa, she was returning home from a movie location when she unknowingly stepped on water on the road. She said she later developed severe symptoms after getting home and going to bed.

Sharing her story, she said: “It was this night i remember and I was like I want to share it to the people, about 15-16years ago, was coming from a movie set in Ibadan, I was going home so when I got home, I greeted everyone i behaved normal i ate I slept when it was midnight, My head started banging as if it wanted to fall my head was aching me like i wanted to run mad asumming i didnt hold my head it was like the head wanted to fall down.

“When i woke my mom that my head is aching me she gave me drugs and my mom had different varies of drugs and my mom was like i should take that it is pain relief pain killer, It did not go, when it was morning, my eyes began bringing out water I was like what is going on, my head and body is hot as if they were hitting hammer on it when it was in that morning, my mom told me to go hospital because my issues were getting too much because then i was struggling from one movie location to another just to make money then they gave me 10k, 15k, 5k and then i was sha doing everything and my mom was like then when i dont stay in the house your whala is too much that i was doing back to back and after everything, I went to the hospital and i said i wanted to eat, I could not eat, My body was rejecting the food it was like as if i should die

“Not until one day, one man named Brother lekan came, he came to come and greet my mom and he was like tawa when did you come back from location, how are you? and i was like i just came yesterday and my mom was like (Your sister body is not fine oh) we could not sleep at night since midnight we could not sleep and now that we said we should be going to the hospital was when you came (Brother lekan)”

Tawa continued by explaining that Brother Lekan asked what had happened to her and where she had been before becoming ill.

She said: “Brother lekan was like what happened to me where did i go and I was like i am just coming back from location my face was dull and Brother lekan was like i should not worry that he has a herbal place he can take me to that how we went out he took me in his car that was how we bought soap that they use to wash head and I was told that I stepped on something and they told me that they washed someone head and problems and poured the water on the road and that was where i passed ….. now look at thousands of people that pass that same place i passed …. and then Brother lekan was like what they did is not good that as they washed that person head they were supposed to pour it in gutter or inside bush where people dont pass and me i just passed it and then i saw the water i saw where that water was i know when i stepped on it i just passed my own because when i passed there was around 9pm, when they wanted to wash my head, they losed my hair and washed it (Spritual soap) It was not up to 30minutes i began feeling relieved, my body began getting better that was how they threw the water they used to wash my head in toilet as they flushed it down”

Tawa shared the story while cautioning her followers to be mindful of their surroundings and where they step when walking on the road.
