A woman has been convicted of manslaughter following the death of a model who was widely known for her resemblance to Kim Kardashian.
The victim, Christina Ashten Gourkani, reportedly di£d after undergoing an illegal cosmetic procedure.
It was recalled that in April 2023, she received a silicone buttock injection at a hotel near San Francisco International Airport, instead of a licensed medical facility.
Following the procedure, she developed serious complications and later died from respiratory failure.
According to Steve Wagstaffe, Gourkani suffered an infection that led to a pulmonary embolism, with prosecutors also confirming that silicone was found in her bloodstream.
The woman who carried out the procedure, Vivian Alexandra Gomez, 53, was found guilty this week of felony involuntary manslaughter and for practicing medicine without a license.
Although she has been granted bail with strict conditions, Gomez was remanded into custody after the guilty verdict was delivered in court.
