My father ab!sed me for 7yrs- Lady laments
A lady, Zizo Apleni who grew up in the eastern cape, in South africa has shared her story on how she got abused by her father for 7yrs.
In a podcast show “Justify” She revealed that her father had always called her one corner and told her to come on t***p of him and during these 7yrs she unfortunately got pregnant for him.
According to her, her father began doing this to her ever since she began staying with him.
She also noted that her mother and her father were never married but she was birth out of wedlock
Narrating, she said: ” my mom and my dad were not married so i was conceived in college they met in college and was conceived and my mom because she was still in university, i had to go live with my grandparents so that is the life i was used to living with cousins and my mum will come and visit and when she gets paid at work that is how i grew up in that type of setting of a family.”
Her mom and dad relationship, she said: “Typically when my mom told my dad she was pregnant my dad didnt want anything to do with the pregnancy and he was like no this is not my child and then i was born and lived with my grandparents and life was just like that for me not until i turned 4or 5 i was introduced to this man now who i get to cal my father because before then, i knew the father figure that i knew in my life were my uncles but i knew they were not my father because i was with my cousins who were their daughters and sons and they called them “DADA” and i knew how to call them not as dad so i knew i didnt have a dad but i do have male figure around me especially with my grandfather too he was also around when i’m like 5yrs old i got introduced to this man who is gonna be like now this is your father and i was so excited to actually have someone that i can call a father and it was just an exciting journey for me and my dad was just incredible in terms of making sure that i had everything that i needed and he was also teaching at the same town that i went to school so he comes visit me during my school hours and it was just that relationship between a father and a daughter so life continued and in the year 2001 he asked that i go live with him because he didnt like that i went through rural schools so he was also moving to another town so he was like why dont you move with me and just for you to get to model c schools and then get a better eductation so my family already knew him and what he was capable of doing so they were very mind and they were yes you can its a great opportunity for her you can take her and everything is fine.
“So i went to live with him but when i arrived, he had married someone else and they had a daughter and there was me so there were 4 of us living in the house.
“As soon as i arrived there I realized that there were problems where they were physically fighting and it is something that i was never used to my uncle were married my grandfather and grandmother were married and i have never seen them fight i have never seen them shout at each other so it was quite a foreign concept for me to see adults fighting i knew that when you get a beating as a child you obviously did something wrong so in my 7yr old mind i though maybe my mom um my step mother did something wrong this is why she is getting a beating so i was now introduced to that life where they would fight and i would have to rescue the baby and run away with her to go to the neighbour and just stay there until the storm has calmed and when they are fine i would take the baby back and life just continued as if nothing happened.”
Talking about her mom decision for her to go to her father house, she said: “My mom was in agreement with everyone because it was a family discussion because this man has been paying the fees and had been supporting did everything and there is nothing that we can’t say he can’t do it because in our culture there also those things of paying if a man gets a girl pregnant but my family is not much into that but as long as the father is suportive so that was like he has already done his part
How he abused her she said: “We were watching tv it was after he had a fight and i was just there watching tv and i remember now because we lived in a commune setting so each room it was a big house and then each room has a family of it own and i would sleep on the floor with the baby when step mom was home they would sleep on the bed so this night now my dada calls me to come and sleep on the bed because step mom and baby are not home and then all of sudden he is asking that i come on top of him and as soon as i’m on top of him he is on top of me it was just like a spilt of second and already he is p*n*trating me and it was just a quick process but painful one but for me it seemed that though it was not ending and that happened in the bathroom when he was done there was already water instead and i dont know if it was when i was watching tv and then he got water and got into the bathtub he put me into that water and he washed me throughly and probably that washing took about an hour and now when i realized he was trying to get rid of the evidence incase anything happened and i remember the following day i think on a Saturday and i was going to play with my friends and he was like no you are not allowed to go and play today, i could also feel my body was not allowing me to go and play he spent nursing me of my pain and all of that so that was the first experience.”

A startling video has gone viral on X (formerly Twitter), capturing the moment a humanoid robot appeared to malfunction and lash out at its inventors in a factory believed to be in China.
The footage, taken at an undisclosed location, shows the robot suspended from a construction crane while two men stand nearby, observing and chatting. Suddenly, the robot begins flailing its arms and legs aggressively, causing the men to flee in panic.

Days after the arrest of popular activist VeryDarkMan, a Fulani herdsman has gone viral for sharing a video where he appeals for the activist’s release.
VeryDarkMan was recently arrested after confronting a GTBank branch, accusing them of taking money from his mother’s account without explanation. His bold actions quickly caught attention online and led to his arrest.
In response, a Fulani herdsman recorded himself standing among his cattle, calling on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to release the activist.
Despite the public outcry, VeryDarkMan’s lawyer stated that no official communication has been made regarding his release or status. However, the EFCC later confirmed they had arrested him—not because of the GTBank incident—but due to his repeated failure to respond to their invitations following multiple petitions filed against him.

Ghanaian media personality Serwaa Bronii has stirred conversation online after making controversial remarks about tall Ghanaian men in a recently circulated video.
In the video, Serwaa advised women to think twice before accepting a marriage proposal from a Thick tall, dark, and handsome man. According to her, such men may not be ideal for marriage.
She added that tall, dark men are best suited for greeting guests at funerals, rather than being considered “husband material.” She went on to claim that some of these men lack depth or intelligence, and advised women not to settle for them based on appearance alone.

A young boy who was reportedly kidnapped in Taraba State has been found wandering the streets of Mile 2 in Lagos, sparking relief and concern among community members.
The news was shared by a Facebook user, Yakubu Ali Nicodemus, who posted a public announcement detailing how the boy approached him under the Mile 2 bridge. According to Nicodemus, the boy said he was abducted while returning from the farm nearly a week ago.
In his post, Nicodemus wrote:
PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT. This boy met me this morning at Mile 2 under bridge, Lagos. He said he was kidnapped while returning from farm about a week ago. He said his name is Daddy Friday from Tudun Baikan around Mararaban Baisa axis. I have made arrangements for his return back to Taraba. Anyone who can identify him should contact me or Arc. Mono Bello .Let’s ensure that our kids are not left alone. Thank you!,”
In a follow-up, a man named Bwakyauten Tank Yerima claimed to have identified the boy, stating that he is the son of an Igbo man, with his mother hailing from Taraba State.

Through this extreme and risky process, he’s built up a unique resistance, and his blood is now rich in antibodies that could be key to saving lives from snakebites around the world.
Tim’s journey began in 1999, when he started extracting venom from snakes, diluting it, and injecting himself with tiny doses to train his immune system. His dedication has come at a cost — in 2001, he was bitten twice by cobras and slipped into a four-day coma.
Despite the dangers, his work caught the attention of scientists. Jacob Glanville, CEO of the U.S. biotech firm Centivax, reached out to Tim after discovering a YouTube video showcasing his unusual efforts.
Speaking about Tim, he said: “I thought if anybody had the secrets of universal anti-venom pumping through their veins, it would be this guy”
Tests revealed that Mr. Friede’s blood can resist venom from snakes—even ones that have never bitten him before.

A Nigerian nurse, Nnena Miriam, has been found dead in her apartment in Leeds, United Kingdom, under tragic circumstances.

According to a post by Twitter user Ibironke Khadeejah, Miriam was last seen on Sunday of the previous week. Friends became concerned when they couldn’t reach her, prompting them to file a missing person report. Following a police search, her lifeless body was discovered in her apartment.
Reports also reveal that Miriam had recently traveled from the UK to Nigeria for her introduction and marriage ceremony. Sadly, her husband had not yet joined her in the UK before her untimely death.
