The case of Marcus Wesson who fathered children with his daughters and three nieces before killing 9 members of his family
A man named Marcus Wesson has another public attention after the shocking revelation that he impregnated his two biological daughters and three nieces before murdering nine members of his own family.
For years, Wesson reportedly subjected his wife and children — including those he fathered — to extreme physical, psychological, and s*xual abuse. After serving in the Vietnam War and receiving an honorable discharge, he began a relationship with Rosemary Solorio and moved in with her and her eight children.

In 1971, Rosemary gave birth to Wesson’s son. Three years later, he began s*xually abusing her daughter, Elizabeth.
When Elizabeth turned 14, Wesson — then 34 — married her. Just four months into their marriage, she gave birth to their first child. The couple would eventually have a total of ten children, one of whom died in infancy.
Elizabeth’s younger sister later entrusted her own seven children to the couple due to her struggles with substance abuse.
Wesson refused to hold a steady job and instead relied on welfare benefits and the income he forced his children to earn and hand over to him. In 1989, he was convicted of welfare fraud and perjury. The family frequently lived in abandoned buildings, rundown shacks, and even boats.

He stripped Elizabeth of any parental authority and insisted on homeschooling the children under his strict rules. Wesson developed his own distorted religious teachings, claiming Jesus was a vampire and declaring himself to be God. He demanded that family members address him as “Master” or “Lord” and constantly warned them about an impending Armageddon.
According to reports, he told his daughters they were being prepared to become his future wives and allegedly began instructing them on s*xual acts from a very young age. Over time, Wesson s*xually assaulted his two daughters and three nieces, resulting in all five becoming pregnant by him.
Daily life in the household was tightly controlled. Children were assigned personal duties such as washing his dreadlocks, and siblings were forbidden from speaking to opposite-sex brothers and sisters or even their own mother.
In 2004, Wesson announced plans to move the family from Fresno, California, to Washington state. In March of that year, concerned extended family members and two nieces who had previously escaped arrived at the home demanding the release of the children. When police arrived to handle what they believed was a custody dispute, Wesson asked them to wait outside. Upon returning, his clothes were covered in bl00d.

Officers later discovered a horrific scene inside: nine bodies in a bedroom filled with antique coffins. Each victim had been shot through the eye. The victims were:
- Sebhrenah April Wesson, 25 (daughter)
- Elizabeth Breahi Kina Wesson, 17 (daughter)
- Illabelle Carrie Wesson, 8 (daughter and granddaughter)
- Aviv Dominique Wesson, 7 (daughter and grand-niece)
- Johnathon St Charles Wesson, 7 (son and grand-nephew)
- Ethan St Laurent Wesson, 4 (son and grand-nephew)
- Marshey St Christopher Wesson, 1 (son and grandson)
- Jeva St Vladensvspry Wesson, 1 (daughter and granddaughter)
- Sedona Vadra Wesson, 1 (daughter and grand-niece)
All were his direct or extended family members.
Former Fresno Police Chief and current Mayor Jerry Dyer described the case as deeply disturbing, stating: “It was just horrific, the worst mass murder that we had experienced in the history of our city, and it wasn’t just the fact that nine people were killed, it was how they were killed, the lifestyle that was occurring in that household. Marcus Wesson convinced his family that he was God, that Jesus was a vampire.”
Now 79 years old, Marcus Wesson remains incarcerated at San Quentin Rehabilitation Center. He was convicted and sentenced to death on June 17, 2005. However, following Governor Gavin Newsom’s 2019 decision to suspend capital punishment and dismantle death row in California, his execution has been halted.
Jerry Dyer, who visited Wesson in prison in 2008, continues to express strong feelings about the case: “Marcus Wesson was an evil person. He is somebody, as I said then to national media, he deserved the death penalty then, and he deserves the death penalty today. Unfortunately, that doesn’t look like it’s going to be the case.”

Chinese Zoo Faces Backlash After Painting Donkey to Look Like a Zebra
Following the circulation of the footage, a staff member at the Qingyun Mountain Folk Custom Amusement Park explained that the animal was part of a themed attraction rather than an attempt to pass it off as a real zebra.

“We’re doing cosplay. We never said it was a zebra!
The staff also mentioned that the park had previously carried out similar animal “makeovers” to entertain guests, including styling dogs to resemble pandas.

In one earlier example, Taizhou Zoo presented two Chow Chows dressed to look like pandas on 1 May 2024. The dogs were groomed and had black-and-white dye applied to mimic the appearance of pandas, despite the zoo not having real pandas on display.
