A woman has sparked outrage on social media after a video emerged showing her being confronted by residents over allegations that she used a suspicious substance while preparing akara for sale.

The incident was shared by X user @crownprincecom2, who claimed the woman was apprehended along Ani Street on Ikom-Obudu Road in Cross River State.

According to the post, the incident reportedly occurred on June 5, 2026.

In the viral video, several people can be seen surrounding the woman while demanding that she reveal the contents of a nylon bag she was holding tightly.

Witnesses at the scene repeatedly urged her to open the bag and explain what she was carrying. The crowd continued questioning her as tensions rose during the confrontation.

At one point in the video, some individuals attempted to pull the item from her hands. After a brief struggle, the contents allegedly fell to the ground, prompting strong reactions from those gathered at the scene.

People in the video could be heard expressing shock and disbelief, with some shouting, “Jesus, this is wickedness.”

A man identified as Lennox Mugambi has shared his heartbreaking story of how his dream of building a better life in Germany turned into years of homelessness.

Speaking during an interview, Mugambi revealed that he has been homeless in Frankfurt, Germany, for the past four years despite spending nearly a decade hoping for an opportunity to leave Africa and start a new life abroad.

According to him, life in Germany became increasingly difficult, and he has spent the last two years sleeping outdoors after being forced to leave a shelter where he had been staying.

“I have been sleeping outside for two years but have been homeless for four years. I was staying in a place where other homeless people slept, but since I could not cope with their rules and regulations, I was thrown out. They are very strict. Some of the rules include having to sleep and wake up at certain times, being present, and always being reachable, among others,” he said.

Mugambi explained that one of the major factors that worsened his situation was the loss of his personal documents, which he said were stolen.

He stressed the importance of keeping identification documents safe, noting that stolen documents can easily be misused.

“When documents are stolen, they can be used for illegal activities. Some are even sold and can end up in the wrong hands. It is very important to keep them on you or store them somewhere safe. As soon as your residence permit or documents are lost, you should report it to the police. I also got in touch with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the matter, so I am just waiting for communication,” he said.

The father of one also opened up about personal and family challenges that contributed to his current circumstances.

According to him, he did not have a good relationship with his father, and the pressures of balancing education, work, and family responsibilities eventually became overwhelming.

“I was pursuing my bachelor’s degree, but I got overwhelmed by stress and everything broke down. During that period, I became a father. My daughter is now turning five years old. At the same time, I had to work full-time while pursuing my studies and taking care of my family. It was not easy,” he explained.

In a video shared on TikTok, the visibly distressed woman recounted how she has allegedly been robbed several times in the past, prompting her to take extra security measures, including locking her windows every night.

However, she said she woke up to find one of the windows mysteriously opened again despite being securely locked before she went to bed.

According to Giwa, his father had been travelling as part of plans to visit the United Kingdom for yearly celebrations when the tragic incident occurred.

He said: “My dad was on his way to the UK, as a yearly thing he celebrates with us. We’ve spoken, he’s on his way. Next thing I know, he’s not at the airport am like what’s going on then It took a while to call me, and when they finally called me, my dad was dead.

“What happened? Food poisoning. On that day he was taken to the hospital, it was a Sunday. He shouldn’t be dead. It’s ordinary food poisoning, but he died. He died because all the qualified doctors were in church on a Sunday,”
