A transgender woman identified as Kali, also known as Nandigiti Shivvishnu Brahma, has been arrested by police after a video of her at a funeral ground went viral on social media.

Kali, who claimed to be an Aghori, was seen in the video at a funeral site covering herself with funeral ash before appearing to eat some of it.

The video also showed the woman claiming that what she was eating was human flesh.

Kali was arrested on Tuesday, while members of the Aghori community have condemned her actions and described them as disrespectful to their spiritual tradition.

Members of the community also called for bail to be denied, insisting that the act should not be repeated.

The Aghori are an extreme monastic order of Hindu ascetic sadhus in India who worship Lord Shiva and seek spiritual liberation, known as moksha, by intentionally going against societal taboos and conventional ideas of ritual purity.

Reacting to the video, Ujjain-based Aghori practitioner Rajnath Pampi told ThePrint that the act does not form part of Aghori religious teachings.

He said: “Touching human body parts is not written in any scriptures, and the incident was done to highlight herself, bringing all Aghori babas in a bad light”

Police said Kali was arrested at the Jiwajigang Police Station following the circulation of the video.

The footage showed a burning funeral pyre on one side while the Kinnar Aghori was seen holding a sword on the other.

She was then seen removing a piece from the funeral pyre before appearing to eat it while being filmed.

Another Aghori practitioner, Pandit Jaydeep Dubey, also condemned the incident and said the actions had brought embarrassment to members of the community.

He told ThePrint:

“The accused is an Aghori practitioner, but what they have done has brought shame to all of us. People’s body parts cannot be eaten. It is not written in any scriptures; we condemn this act. The accused could still secure bail, but we don’t want that to happen. We want them to be imprisoned; they should not repeat this,”

The incident has drawn attention to the practices associated with the Aghori tradition and the debate over actions that members of the community say have no basis in their scriptures.

A 29-year-old woman has been hospitalised after her boss ordered her to perform 200 squats as punishment for failing to meet her daily work targets.  Get the latest updates on our WhatsApp channel.

The woman, identified as Yang, had started working as a financial consultant at a loan assistance company in Hangzhou, eastern China, in June.

Her job required her to make 200 calls, invite one client and secure one prospective client who expressed an intention to collaborate each day. However, on July 28, Yang failed to meet two of the targets.

Her manager, identified as Zhang, reportedly gave her two options — complete 200 squats as punishment or pay CNY 50 for each unfinished task.

Unable to afford the payment, Yang chose to do the squats.

She reportedly filmed herself completing the punishment in batches around the office building and sent the videos to her supervisor as proof. However, after completing the final repetitions, she struggled to stand and was seen staggering while walking.

Five days later, Yang noticed that her urine had turned dark and sought medical attention. Doctors diagnosed her with rhabdomyolysis, a serious condition in which damaged muscle tissue breaks down rapidly and releases its contents into the bloodstream.

Her creatine kinase level reportedly reached around 160,000 U/L, an extremely high level indicating severe muscle damage. Fortunately, she did not develop kidney failure and was advised to rest and avoid strenuous physical activity.

Yang said she spent around CNY 1,400 (£150) on medical treatment and eventually resigned from the company because her condition prevented her from continuing to work.

She is demanding that the company reimburse her medical and transportation expenses and pay CNY 15,000 (£1,640) in compensation.

However, Zhang rejected her demands while admitting that he knew using physical punishment against employees violated labour law.

“I also know that it violates labour law,” he said, adding that sales companies needed to put employees under pressure to make money.

Yang has since reported the matter to labour inspectors, who said they would investigate the case.

“However i didnt have any issues because i loved him, when I first saw his interview on your channel (Afrimax) i was scared despite this, i have always been interested in men who are different from others so i began to love him but on the other hand I still feel scared because sleeping in a coffin was quite unusual and frightening 

On his part he said: “The Principle i had set for myself was that I would not live with a woman until i was sure she wold accept my lifestyle I made it clear that I couldn’t be with her without us both sleeping in this coffin because of this, Many women came but as soon as they realised what my life entailed they quickly left and never spoke to me again

He interrupted, saying: “The first time she slept in the coffin she saw many things and was very surprised since we became one, we shared the same experience she often gave me advise and tells me not to do certain things something things don’t go well and we have to give up and come back to them later she is a very intelligent woman”

Miss World Nigeria 2026, Tamunosoye Karibi-George, has won the Top Model for Africa title at the ongoing Miss World 2026 competition in Vietnam.

The competition was held as part of the Vietnam Beauty Fashion Fest XVII, which was themed “Soul of Heritage”.

Her victory has also secured Tamunosoye a place in the Top 40 quarterfinals of the Miss World 2026 competition.

Tamunosoye now joins the other continental Top Model winners who have earned their places in the Top 40. The Dominican Republic won the title for the Americas and Caribbean, France emerged for Europe, while Vietnam claimed the title for Asia and Oceania.

The Miss World Organization announced the results on its official Instagram page, writing:

In a Facebook post, the lady said her decision made several members of her family angry. However, she said she had no regrets because she and her cousin were not on speaking terms before her death.

According to her, their relationship ended after she found out that her cousin was having an affair with her baby daddy behind her back.

She also claimed that before their fallout, she had asked her cousin to return her wig, but her cousin allegedly told her that she had lost it and did not know where it was.

The lady said she was not willing to let her cousin be buried with the wig because it belonged to her. She also made it clear that she had not forgiven her cousin and was not ready to “be the bigger person.”

She wrote:

“Yes I took my wig back from my sister at her funeral and no idgaf ! The whole family mad but idc ! I wasn’t even on speaking terms with her when she passed because she started fn my babydaddy behind my back ! On top of that BEFORE we fell out about him I told her I wanted my wig back n she claimed she lost it and didn’t know where it was ! A rare German military boat dating back to the Second World War has been discovered more than 300 feet beneath the sea, 83 years after it sank while reportedly being towed for repairs.

The 41-foot vessel was found by a team of Greek technical divers from AegeanTec in the Ionian Sea, between the Greek island of Lefkada and the mainland near Preveza.

Experts believe the wreck is LS6, a Leichtes Schnellboot operated by Nazi Germany’s Kriegsmarine during World War II. If confirmed, it could be the only surviving vessel of its type.

The discovery was announced earlier this month by AegeanTec maritime historian Giorgos Karelas after years of research into the missing vessel.

The search began in 2013 after German naval historian Peter Schenk provided archival information about a small Kriegsmarine vessel that had disappeared in the Ionian Sea.

Lefkada wreck hunter Dimitris Giannoulatos later identified a possible sonar target at a depth of around 315 feet.

When divers eventually reached the location, they found the vessel sitting almost upright on the seabed.

Despite spending more than eight decades underwater, its aluminium hull and superstructure were reportedly remarkably well preserved.

The diving team described the moment they first saw the wreck.

“The moment the silhouette emerged from the depths reminded us exactly why we do what we do.

“Few experiences compare to the privilege of being the first to dive, document and identify a forgotten piece of history.”

Several features found on the wreck helped researchers connect it to LS6.

These included the boat’s dimensions, aluminium construction, stern design and two Junkers Jumo 205 diesel engines. A section of the cable that had been used to tow the vessel was also reportedly still attached to its bow.

LS6 was built by Dornier and entered service in 1941.

The vessel was initially designed for torpedo operations before later being modified for anti-submarine missions. It was also equipped to deploy depth charges.

Historical records indicate that the boat was attacked on September 24, 1943, while travelling from Igoumenitsa towards Corfu.

The discovery could provide researchers with a rare opportunity to study a remarkably preserved German military vessel from the Second World War more than 80 years after it disappeared beneath the Ionian Sea.

A man has taken to social media to seek help after finding an unidentified man lying motionless along Ogheghe-Sapele Road in Edo State.

According to the man who shared the video on Facebook, the unidentified man was found lying on the roadside and appeared unconscious, although he was still breathing.

He said people at the scene had tried several ways to get the man to respond, including pouring water on him, but he remained unresponsive and did not open his eyes.

The man also said paracetamol was found around the unidentified man, although it was not immediately clear how it got there or whether it was connected to his condition.

In the video, the man appealed to members of the public who might recognise the individual to come forward and help contact his family.

He said:

“I found this man lying on the orad along Ogheghe sapele road, Edo state the guy lay down, we don try pour pure water for him body to know whether he go wake up and we see paractemol for him body so abeg anybody wey know say he know am make e come talk cause we no know am we don’t know him from anywhere if you know say you recognise his face, he still dey breathe but we don try make he open eye he no gree open eye”

The man’s identity and what caused him to become unresponsive were not immediately known.

An emotional video showing an 8-year-old boy celebrating his birthday for the first time has touched many people online.

The boy, identified as Ángel David, was seen becoming emotional as his classmates gathered around him and sang the “Happy Birthday” song to him in Spanish.

According to his teacher, David comes from a family with limited resources and had never had the opportunity to celebrate his birthday before.

Wanting to make the day special for him, his teacher and classmates decided to surprise him with a birthday celebration at school.
