In a historic moment for the Catholic Church, Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost of the United States has been elected as the 267th pope, following the passing of Pope Francis.

Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Pope Robert I becomes the first American to ever ascend to the papacy.

Addressing a crowd gathered at St. Peter’s Square after his election, he greeted the faithful with a message saying:“Peace be with you all.”

Promising her kids during the difficult times, she added: “I said, ‘I promise you, this is a difficult time, but you’re going to see that I’ll come out the other side stronger and better.’ I promised them that and I did it,” Lopez said. “And they feel it now. That gives me a great sense of peace in my life.”

She added: “I’m proud of myself for that and I’m proud that I was able to navigate my children through difficult times, that they’re stronger and better because of it. So, it’s a great time to go out there and dance and sing and have a good time with everybody,”

A year after 10-year-old Sammy Teusch took his own life following relentless bullying over his teeth and glasses, his father, Samuel Teusch, has opened up about the heartbreaking experience.

In an emotional interview with Daily Mail, Samuel shared how the past 12 months have been extremely painful as he continues to grieve the loss of his youngest son. Sammy was a student at Greenfield Intermediate School (GSI) in Indiana, where, according to his father, he was bullied not only by students but also neglected by school staff who failed to act on repeated warnings.

Samuel recalled how other parents offered apologies after Sammy’s death, but he felt they showed little genuine remorse for the torment his son endured. “It’s disgusting, it’s shocking, and it’s devastating,” he said.

In a heartbreaking detail, Samuel shared that just days before Sammy’s death, he had spent $525 on a new pair of glasses, hoping it would stop the bullying. Sammy’s previous glasses, he said, had become a source of ridicule.

Sadly, only two days after receiving the new pair, Sammy took his own life.

He said: “There has been no accountability. This happened on a Sunday, and on the Monday, [the bullies] go back into school like nothing has happened, and nothing is done, and nothing is said.

“What kind of message does that send?… The bullies will go on to target other kids because they think it’s okay… they’ll think, “I killed one and I got away with it.”

“And if this can happen to Sammy, this can happen to any child on Earth.

Disturbing new allegations have come to light in the heartbreaking case of 10-year-old Sammy Teusch, who died by suicide last year after enduring relentless bullying.

According to filings in the case against Greenfield Intermediate School (GIS) in Indiana, one student allegedly choked Sammy so severely that he “saw stars.” In another reported incident, he was struck in the face with an iPad, which left him with a black eye and shattered his glasses.

Perhaps most horrifying, documents claim a group of girls, including one female student in particular, encouraged Sammy to hang himself. That same girl allegedly took a photo of Sammy’s open casket during his funeral and was later seen laughing at her phone.

Sammy’s father, Samuel Teusch, told Daily Mail that he had reported the bullying at least 20 times to the school’s principal, Bronson Curtis, and other staff members. Despite his repeated pleas, he says no meaningful action was taken.

Teusch also shared that his son had asked teachers for help before his death—but his calls for support were ignored.

“A couple of months before he passed, after he was hit on the bus and got into trouble for it, he just told me: “Daddy, it’s okay. They don’t care. They’re not listening to me.”

“He felt helpless… And the school told us every time that they don’t accept bullying, and they were going to do everything in their power to end this, but it never ended.

Unfortunately, Sammy last seen tragicalyly came to an end after a voice noise was over snapchat on May 4th, 2024 by a bully identified in court documents only as ‘NT’.

According to Teusch, NT warned his son not to come into school on Monday or he’d ‘regret it.’

‘They said, “What I did last week was nothing compared to what you’re going to have happen on Monday,” Teusch said

“And it was about six hours after that message that we lost Sammy.”

Teusch also shared that his last conversation with Sammy took place on the morning of Sunday, May 5th. He recalled asking his son if he wanted breakfast while Sammy was lying in bed, cuddled up next to his mother.

“I want pancakes, Daddy” Sammy told him.

Teusch left home to run to the store with one of Sammy’s older brothers.

It wasn’t until the family returned home and called Sammy down for breakfast that the unimaginable unfolded.

Sammy was found hanging in his bedroom by his 13-year-old brother.

A devastated Samuel Teusch said there had been no warning signs that his son was suicidal.

“He wasn’t depressed… he was a happy little boy……… The day before, he was on the phone to his brother, talking about when he turns 14, he wants to go to Japan.

“Sammy had plans for the future, but he was scared to death in a moment and thought this was his only way out.

“He was so full of life and loving and caring… I still can’t believe he’s gone.

A video has gone viral showing the dramatic moment Florida State Senator Ileana Garcia collapsed during a press conference held on Tuesday, May 6, by Governor Ron DeSantis.

The footage, captured by Florida Channel, shows Senator Garcia turning to Governor DeSantis and saying she wasn’t feeling well and needed to sit down.

Moments later, she appeared to lose consciousness and began to slump to the floor. Fortunately, Florida Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo was close by and quickly caught her, gently guiding her into a chair while reassuring her, saying, “Hey, hey, hey, hey, we’ve got you, we’ve got you.”

Audience members rushed to assist and offered her water.

Although the cause of the incident is still unclear, Senator Garcia later recovered, returned to the podium, and lightened the mood by joking, “Are you kidding? This was my moment.”

A woman has tragically lost her life after being attacked and dragged into the water by an alligator while fishing on a lake in Florida.

According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), the incident occurred around 4 p.m. near the mouth of Tiger Creek as it flows into Lake Kissimmee, located south of Orlando. The woman was fishing from a paddle-powered vessel when the alligator struck.

Initial reports from the sheriff’s office stated that the woman had been in a kayak with another person, who was unharmed. However, FWC later clarified that it was likely a canoe, which differs from a kayak in that it has an open hull.

The woman was pulled into the water by the alligator and disappeared from view. A search was launched, and her body was later recovered nearby.

Authorities have not yet released the woman’s identity or further details about the alligator involved. 

A heartbroken man has taken to social media to share his shocking discovery—his girlfriend secretly married another man while still in a relationship with him.

In an anonymous message sent to X user @SirDickson, the man revealed that he had no idea his girlfriend was involved with someone else, let alone planning a wedding. He said he had invited her to meet him at a hotel, unaware of her secret.

According to him, it was only when they were about to leave the hotel that she confessed she was now married. To prove it, she even showed him photos and videos from her recent wedding ceremony.

In the days following the passing of Pope Francis, Cardinals from around the world have gathered in Vatican City to prepare for the election of a new pope.

Starting today, the cardinals will begin moving into special Vatican accommodations, where they will stay throughout the duration of the conclave—the sacred and secretive process used to elect the next Bishop of Rome, commonly known as the pope.

The conclave, led by the College of Cardinals, is set to officially begin on Wednesday. Traditionally, the cardinals stay at the Vatican’s Santa Marta guesthouse, which offers hotel-style amenities and private bathrooms.

However, due to limited space, not all cardinals can be housed there.

Tamilore Odunsi, a British-Nigerian nursing student, was tragically found stabbed to death in her Houston, Texas apartment. Her roommate, Chester Lamar Grant, has been arrested and charged in connection with her death.

Police discovered Tamilore’s body after a family friend, concerned that her father hadn’t been able to reach her, asked authorities to check on her.

When officers arrived at the apartment, they noticed blood on the back patio and forced their way inside.

There, they found Tamilore in the kitchen with fatal stab wounds and her roomate was also found in the bedroom with stab wounds and was rushed to the hospita.

Grant, who was also found in critical condition at the scene, was taken to the hospital. After receiving medical attention, he was arrested and charged.
