Popular Actor Harrison Ford Withdraws from Oscars After Diagnosed with Shingles

Popular actor Harrison Ford has withdrawn from the Oscars after being diagnosed with shingles, a viral infection that causes a painful rash and can appear anywhere on the body.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the 82-year-old is doing well and resting following his diagnosis on Friday.

This news comes shortly after Ford was spotted at the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards last weekend, where he was seen casually eating a cracker while sitting with his Shrinking co-stars.

During the ceremony, he playfully interrupted his co-star Jessica Williams’ introduction, earning a big laugh from the audience.

Ford was nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series for his role as a blunt, grieving therapist in Shrinking. However, the award ultimately went to Martin Short for his performance in Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building.
