A young Nigerian man, Joshua Igba, has shared his deep sorrow online after the sudden passing of his mother. In a heartfelt post on LinkedIn, Joshua recounted the devastating incident that occurred in Abuja on April 4th, 2025.

According to Joshua’s post, his mother was tragically struck by a moving trailer. He explained that she was rushed to the hospital, but sadly, despite efforts to save her, she succumbed to her injuries due to severe bleeding.

Sharing his pain, He wrote: “NIGERIA HAPPENED AGAINI lost my mom before 7am yesterday April 4, 2025. Her lower body was crushed by a gigantic trailer in Abuja, who took one way. She bled until her heart stopped. All within 2hrs.

I woke up hearing shouts and I thought there was a fight/quarel in the sitting room. I was struggling to squeeze my eyes open to comprehend the accident victim. The moment I heard victim was my mum. My eyes cleared and bulged like a frog. Wetin be this. What did I just hear? Had it been April 1st, I would have laughed it off as prank.

The last 2hrs of her life was in agony like a soldier who stretched legs on a land mine and had both legs vaourised in a flash. She watched her crushed legs bleed and bleed and bleed. She didn’t not even have the opportunity to speak to us on phone.

Yesterday was black Friday for the family.

Maria Kovalchuk, a 20-year-old OnlyFans model, has been found in critical condition after disappearing without a trace.

According to reports, Maria was last seen heading to a hotel party in Dubai with two men who claimed to be from the modeling industry. She was supposed to fly from Dubai to Thailand on March 11, but after failing to board her flight and losing all contact, her friends reported her missing.

Ten days later, on March 19, Maria was discovered dumped on the side of a road in Dubai, bloodied and battered, with multiple broken bones, including her spine and limbs. 

Russian news outlet Life reported that she was immediately rushed to the hospital for urgent medical care.

Maria’s mother revealed that her daughter has already undergone three surgeries and is now preparing for a fourth. Due to her severe injuries, she is currently unable to speak.

“There is an assumption that she went to a party. But the promoter who organised these parties did not see her. “Today she was found in the hospital in serious condition. She has no documents, no phone, nothing. She has undergone three operations. And she cannot speak.”

Maria’s friends remain hopeful for her recovery. “We all hope for the best and are very grateful to everyone who took part in the search and helped with information” one of them said.

Mzee Ernesto Muinuchi Kapinga, a Tanzanian man, has revealed that he has 20 wives, 104 children, and 144 grandchildren.

In an interview with Afrimax, his wives shared that they do not experience jealousy, as they care for all the children as their own.

According to Mzee Kapinga, his decision to have a large family was influenced by his father, who once told him that their family was too small and encouraged him to expand it.

Reflecting on his early days of parenthood, he revealed that his father warmly embraced his first grandchild but also had a strong feeling that his son would not stop at one wife and one child. 

Mzee said: “I was a young man then, I had just married my first wife in 1961, My first child was born in 1962 but my father told me one wife was not enough our family must grow and so i listened”

He shared that after his father spoke to him about it, he quickly got married—tying the knot with five women in just a few years.  

He also admitted that he didn’t even pay their dowries himself; his father covered all the costs.

He added saying: “My father paid the dowry for my 5 wives, he wanted to see our family name, endure the rest i added myself my companionship for the strength of the household”

As he married his five wives, he continued to take on more, eventually reaching a total of 20. Over time, some wives left him, while others passed away, leaving him with 16 wives still in his home.  

Sharing his experience of life with 20 wives and 104 children, Mzee said:”I have 16 wives, 104 children and 144 grandchildren life here is simple, but fulfilling.

“My father wanted a legacy and I agreed.”

A Nigerian lawyer, wife of a pastor, and mother has sparked conversations on social media after advising mothers to regularly check their daughters’ virginity.

In a lengthy post shared on Facebook, she admitted that her stance might seem old-fashioned to some, but emphasized that she believes in playing an active role in her children’s lives, particularly in guiding their moral upbringing.

She further explained that she consistently teaches her children to honor their bodies as a form of purity to God, rather than viewing it as something solely for their future spouses.

She wrote: “HOW I CHECK MY DAUGHTERS VIRGINÎTY.

You can call me old fashioned, outdated or whatever but I believe in purity & I also believe that I have a role to play in my children’s life (both male & female) to ensure that they continue to keep themselves. See, I tell them to keep their bodies pure not for their husbands but for GOD’S glory. I lost my battle against séxual immoralîty many years ago because I became very comfortable with one brother like that who almost married me. I gave in because I felt, after all we were going to be married. He had me & yes, I ended up with someone else. If all my focus was on GOD during my purity journey before marriage, I would have stayed strong till the end.

Now this is my method for checking virginîty as passed on to me by my own mother;

1) Let the child lie down flat on the ground.

2) With her p**nts off, she should spread out her legs very well.

3) Pin your two f****ngers on the two edges of her vàgina.

4) Stretch it slightly.

5) Check for it’s openness & depth, it will have a lot to reveal about such child’s state of chastîty.

Please, mothers don’t go crazy with your child in case you get a negative result. Be soft and get to hear from her how she became so loosed. The things you will hear will greatly shock you. One of my daughters (6 years old) said;
