A Nigerian mother has taken her pastor to a live radio show, accusing him of taking her baby’s placenta during childbirth and blaming him for her child’s inability to speak or function properly since birth.
In her emotional outburst during the broadcast, the woman recounted that she had endured serious health complications throughout her pregnancy. Following advice from others, she sought help at a church led by a woman known as “Iya Michael.”
She explained that when she went into labor, it was church members who assisted in delivering her baby. However, things took a strange turn when she was denied access to her baby’s clothes, which were reportedly taken to the church altar.
She further revealed that the placenta, which traditionally should have been handed to her or her family, was instead given to her husband—who allegedly took it to the church and dedicated it on the altar under the pastor’s instruction.
