A Nigerian lady identified as Ifunanya has taken to TikTok to share a heartbreaking story of how she found her father in a terrible state — malnourished, unkempt, and unable to speak — allegedly at the hands of her uncle and aunty.
In a series of emotional videos, Ifunanya narrated how the ordeal began in 2022 after her father, a U.S. retiree, returned to Nigeria. She revealed that he used to receive about $5,000 in retirement benefits and had travelled to Anambra State after his retirement, intending to settle back home.
However, after some time, communication between father and daughter was completely lost. She explained that for six months, she had no idea where he was. Despite reaching out to her uncle and aunty multiple times, they kept dismissing her with excuses — saying her father was “busy” or “unavailable.”
According to her, it wasn’t until she felt a strong spiritual nudge — “the Holy Spirit touched me,” she said — that she decided to act. What she found shocked her to the core.
She visited the house her father had built, only to be denied access by the relatives. It was only after a heated exchange that she was allowed in — and there, she found him lying helplessly on a bed, severely malnourished and unable to talk.
In the videos, Ifunanya showed clips of her confrontation and the heartbreaking state her father was in.
