A woman has shared her awkward and embarrassing experience after going on a brunch date with a man.
In a video posted on her TikTok page, the woman, known as TaleswithBlessed, explained that it all started when a man messaged her asking to go on a brunch date. She agreed, paid for her own ride, and waited for him at the restaurant he suggested.

When she arrived, he wasn’t there yet. Eventually, he showed up—but not in the way she expected. He pulled up in a car, dropping someone off like an Uber driver, and looked sweaty and disheveled.
Once they sat down, he ordered a traditional Nigerian dish—Amala with ewedu and gbegiri. She assumed he had ordered for both of them. But as he began eating and no food arrived for her, she stopped a waiter to ask about her meal. The waiter replied by asking if she wanted to place an order, revealing that the man had only ordered for himself.
When she asked the man about it, he casually told her to just watch him eat.
Feeling awkward, she ordered her own food. But things got weirder when he reached into her plate to eat from it. Then, out of nowhere, he asked if she’d be okay with being a housewife and taking care of children.
He went on to complain about how women nowadays all want corporate jobs and aren’t interested in being full-time homemakers—something he didn’t like.
To escape the uncomfortable situation, she texted a friend and asked them to call her with a fake emergency. The friend called, saying her gas was leaking. But instead of letting her leave, the man insisted on coming with her to fix the gas leak himself.

In an extraordinary discovery, a woman has uncovered a hidden love story sealed in a bottle that had traveled an astonishing 300,000 kilometers over 13 years.
The message in a bottle was found by a couple, Kate and John Gay, during a beach clean-up at Scraggane Bay, a small fishing port on the Maharees peninsula in County Kerry, Ireland, on Monday, July 7, 2025.
According to the Maharees Heritage and Conservation group, which shared the find, the bottle had made its way across the Atlantic Ocean all the way from Canada. The note inside, dated 2012, revealed a heartfelt message that hinted at a personal and emotional story. The letter reads: “Anita and Brad’s day trip to Bell Island.
“Today, we enjoyed dinner, this bottle of wine and each other, at the edge of the island.
“If found, please call us on…”
Nine people have been confirmed dead following the collapse of a bridge over a river in Gujarat’s western region on Wednesday morning.
According to Gujarat’s Health Minister, Rushikesh Patel, several vehicles were traveling across the Gambhira Bridge when a section of the structure gave way, causing them to plunge into the river below.
The incident occurred at approximately 7:30 a.m., amid days of persistent heavy rainfall across the state, which may have compromised the structural integrity of the bridge.
A local resident commenting on the tragedy said “The Gambhira bridge has become notorious not just as a traffic hazard but also as a suicide point. Repeated warnings about its condition were ignored.”

A 9-year-old girl, Ava Rose McCourt, has tragically drowned in a swimming pool just days after she began taking swimming lessons.
The heartbreaking incident occurred at the Clinton Mobile Home Resort in Tiffin, Ohio, on June 28. According to reports, Ava had been under the supervision of her father’s girlfriend, Christina Bryant, when she entered the pool using a float.
Christina told police that she momentarily looked away, and when she turned back, Ava was no longer visible. Moments later, the young girl was found unresponsive at the bottom of the deep end of the pool.
Bystanders quickly pulled her out and began CPR before emergency services arrived. Ava was transported to Mercy Tiffin Hospital, where she was sadly pronounced dead.
Eyewitnesses told police that they did not hear any splashing or signs of struggle, highlighting the silent nature of drowning.
Ava’s parents later shared that she had recently started swimming lessons, making the tragedy even more devastating.
A woman has taken to social media to express her frustration with her husband’s persistent lack of personal hygiene.

A dramatic incident unfolded in Sydney on June 13th when two men attempted to set a salon abl@ze — only for one of them to accidentally catch fire in the process.
According to CCTV footage, the two men were seen forcing entry into the salon in the early hours of the morning. As they spread accelerant around the premises, the second man slipped on the flammable liquid, just before the first man ignited the blaze from the doorway, triggering a massive fireball.
The flames rapidly engulfed the salon, and the man who slipped appeared to be caught in the explosion, though it remains unclear whether he sustained injuries. Authorities are currently working to determine his condition.
At approximately 5:00 a.m., Fire and Rescue crews arrived at the scene. Residents living above the salon were evacuated as a precaution. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the salon itself sustained only minor damage due to the swift response.
Speaking on the incident, Detective Acting Superintendent Luke Scott said: “It is clear that we need to identify who those people are, because not only are they a danger to the community, they are obviously a danger to themselves
“It’s quite clear when you watch this CCTV, we are not dealing with professionals, we are dealing with amateurs,”
“I urge anybody in the community who identifies who those people are, knows who those people are or suspects that one of their friends or family may have caught fire on June 13 to come forward.”

The Oyo State Police Command has rescued 19 Ghanaian nationals—14 women and 5 men—who were lured into Nigeria with false promises of job opportunities, only to discover they were being trafficked.
In a statement released on Sunday, police spokesperson Adewale Osifeso said the victims were rescued following an operation based on credible intelligence. The police had been alerted to suspicious activity in a building located in Kajorepo, Akinyele Local Government Area of Ibadan.
he said: “The investigation was initiated based on credible intelligence concerning suspicious activities at a building in the Kajorepo area of Akinyele Local Government Area, Ibadan.
“This operation led to the rescue of 19 individuals, all young Ghanaian nationals”
The victims are now in the custody of the Nigerian Immigration Service, where investigations are ongoing to determine the full extent of the trafficking ring and arrange for their safe return to Ghana.
