Young Man Found Alive After Spending 5 Days Lost In Desert

A young man has been rescued alive after surviving five days lost in the desert.

The man, identified as Marwan al-Bahiji, was discovered by rescue teams on May 17 beside his broken-down vehicle in a remote desert area.

Photos shared online showed Marwan visibly exhausted as he sat surrounded by endless sand after days of being stranded.

According to reports, he had gone missing on May 12 after leaving an oilfield. It is believed that he lost his way in the desert before his vehicle eventually broke down.

Following an intense search operation, rescue teams eventually located him in the Raml 81, also known as “Sand 81,” area south-east of Jikharra.

Despite enduring extreme heat, isolation, and the danger of severe dehydration, Marwan was reportedly found alive and in relatively good health.
