Global music superstar Ariana Grande has revealed that she will be stepping away from the spotlight after wrapping up her Eternal Sunshine Tour.

According to reports, the singer has also withdrawn from the upcoming West End revival of Stephen Sondheim’s Sunday in the Park with George, where she was expected to star alongside her former Wicked co-star, Jonathan Bailey, at London’s Barbican Centre next summer.

Confirming the decision, Ariana’s representative said the singer is looking forward to taking a well-deserved break following the conclusion of her tour.

“Ariana will be taking a step back from visibility after she completes the Eternal Sunshine Tour.

“She looks forward to finishing the tour and ending it on a high note, both healthily and happily, and then taking a much-deserved break from public-facing work and appearances, which has led to endless, ongoing public scrutiny.

“This tour has been a beautiful experience for her.

“She loves her fans and has loved every minute of this tour so much.”

Despite her plans to step away from public appearances afterward, Ariana will still complete the remaining dates of her Eternal Sunshine Tour.

She is scheduled to perform 10 shows at London’s O2 Arena, beginning August 15 and running through September 1, marking one of the biggest arena residencies of the year.
