Bodycam Video Shows Final Moments of Renee Good Before Fatal Shooting by ICE Officer Jonathan Ross

A Bodycamera video showing the tense moments leading up to a fatal encounter in Minneapolis has surfaced online, drawing widespread attention and debate.

The footage features Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent Jonathan Ross and Renee Good during a roadside confrontation. A Department of Homeland Security (DHS) official confirmed that the video was recorded on the agent’s phone. It was later obtained by CNN and was first published by a Minnesota media outlet.

Reacting to the video, Vice President JD Vance shared it online, stating that the officer was in danger and that his actions were taken in self-defence. He wrote:

“Watch this, as hard as it is. Many of you have been told this law enforcement officer wasn’t hit by a car, wasn’t being harassed, and murdered an innocent woman. The reality is that his life was endangered and he fired in self-defence,”

In the video, Ross is seen standing near a burgundy SUV driven by Renee. The vehicle had been positioned in a way that affected traffic flow in the area. Ross is shown moving across the front of the vehicle toward the driver’s side. Although Renee can be heard speaking, Ross does not immediately respond.

At one point in the footage, Renee can be heard saying: “That’s fine dude. I’m not mad at you,”

The reflection in the car window shows Ross holding up his phone as he walks. The passenger in the vehicle, Becca Good, can also be heard addressing the officer and saying: “show your face”

The video continues as Ross walks toward the back of the vehicle. Becca, who had stepped out of the car earlier, speaks again, telling him: “We don’t change our plates every morning, just so you know. This will be the same plate when you come talk to us later.”

She is then heard saying: “You wanna come at us? You wanna come at us? I say go get yourself some lunch, big boy,”

When she attempts to return to the vehicle, the door appears to be locked. During the exchange, Ross is heard telling Renee: “get out of the f*cking car.”

The video then shows a sudden movement of the vehicle. Ross can be heard saying “Whoa.” The recording becomes unsteady and points away from the scene, and the remaining moments are not clearly visible.
