A tragic incident has shaken Hampshire after a 34-year-old mother of three, Emily Long, reportedly shot and k*ll*d her husband and two of their children before turning the gun on herself.
Authorities confirmed that Emily, her husband Ryan Long, and their children Parker, 8, and Ryan Jr., 6, were found dead in their new home on Monday night. Their youngest child was unharmed and is now in the care of relatives.
Before the tragedy, Emily had been openly documenting her husband’s battle with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer, on TikTok. In her videos, she also spoke about her struggles with mental health and her battle with depression.
An autopsy revealed that Emily died from a single gunsh*t wound to the head, while her husband Ryan suffered multiple gunsh*t wounds. His death has been ruled a homicide.
In her final TikTok video, Emily spoke about the emotional toll her husband’s illness had taken on her and the children, but also expressed determination to fight her depression: “All I want to do is hide under a blanket with my kids, but that isn’t healthy for them and it’s not healthy for me.
”Today I decided I need to make a conscious effort to shift my mindset. I’m getting out of this depression whether I want to or not. “I am determined to create normalcy.”
According to a report by DailyMail, the Medical Examiner stated that, based on available information, it appears that in the early morning hours of Monday, August 18, 2025, Ms. Long took a handgun from the family home and fatally sh*t her husband, Ryan Long, and their two children, Parker and Ryan, before taking her own life shortly afterward.
Investigations are ongoing, while the surviving child remains under family care.
