A Nigerian man has sparked conversation online after anonymously seeking advice on whether he should start “billing” his girlfriend to test her loyalty.

In a post shared by X (formerly Twitter) user @Wizarab, the man revealed that his girlfriend is currently serving in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and is one of the lucky corps members receiving the new ₦77,000 monthly allowance from the government.

He’s now considering asking her for ₦33,000 regularly to “see if she truly loves him.”
