Jermaine Jenas and Wife Ellie Penfold Split After 16 Years of Marriage, 1 Month After His BBC Sacking

Jermaine Jenas and his wife, Ellie Penfold, have split after 16 years together.

The news comes just a month after Jenas was sacked by the BBC following allegations that he sent an inappropriate message to a female colleague.

Ellie announced their separation on her Instagram page, writing: “I never imagined I would have to share something so personal with the public, but given the situation, I feel it’s necessary.

“After 16 years together and 4 wonderful children, Jermaine and I have decided to part ways.

“We will remain friends and continue to co-parent. We kindly ask that you respect our children’s privacy during this challenging time.

“Thank you, Ellie.”

The split comes after Jermaine and Ellie tied the knot in 2011. The couple shares two daughters, Geneva and Olivia, and a son, Jacob.

Additionally, Jermaine has an older daughter, Sancha, from a previous relationship, who currently lives with her mother in the United States.
