They took advantage of me! – Man laments after online store sends him a printed drill instead of the $40 tool he ordered
A U.S. man has been left devastated after receiving a photograph of a drill instead of the actual product he ordered from AliExpress.
According to the New York Post, the man, identified as Sylvester Franklin, shared that he had ordered a DIY drill and a pressure washer for $40 on AliExpress. However, when his package arrived on December 9, 2024, he was shocked to find only a printed picture of the items instead of the real products.
Sylvester stated that he immediately reported the issue to AliExpress, but as of now, he has yet to receive a refund.
Lamenting, he said: “I was very upset. I contacted them for a refund straight away.
“They have not got back to me.
“I am retired. They took advantage of me. They need to pay for what I have done.
“I was very upset when I opened the box.”
“I am a mechanic and repair man. I use tools like that all the time to work on my car or around the house.
“This is bad.
“They have taken advantage of me — don’t scam nobody.
“When I pay for something, I expect to get what I paid for.”
