An adopted man has turned to social media for advice after discovering that his girlfriend is actually his biological sister.
In his post, he explained that he made this shocking discovery when his biological father passed away.
Both he and his girlfriend received the same invitation to the funeral, and she mentioned that the deceased was her father as well.
Narratinf, he wrote: “Background: Me (30 M) and the girl (24 F) met over two years ago via mutual friends and we hit it off great, after a year we entered a relationship and just two months ago we moved in together. We have our differences and our little fights like everyone but really, everything has been wonderful, to the point where we were discussing marriage.
Both of us were raised in the foster system, I was removed from my household when I was 10, she was around 7 so we’ve always had this in common and been able to confide in one another about this.
Recently: My biological father passed away which meant little to nothing to me since my foster father adopted me and has been absolutely great.
However.. The woman I am with also received an invitation to the funeral because its her dad also.Shes already packed up her things and is staying with her best friend.
This situation is so screwed up I honestly didn’t believe things like this could happen. I’m torn.. I really am, I felt like I loved this woman, I thought about our future together and now I don’t know what the hell to do. We have crossed the line physically and when we tried to talk about it she broke down and started crying, she won’t speak to me anymore.
Just as more background.. Yes we have spoken about our pasts before, yes we have spoken about our parents but it has always been “my mother was a druggie and my dad a drunk” we have separate last names and to be honest I just NEVER considered it a possibility that we could be related. What the hell do I do? I honestly felt like I was in love and in one day everything has fallen apart.TL;DR: Found out the woman I have been seeing and saying ‘I love you’ too is actually my younger sister.
Now more then ever I wished I had kept in contact with my biological family. What the hell do I do?Update: Wow, thank you everyone so much.. Really you have no idea how much this means to me. This really made my day and I’m glad I took the time to check this at work. To answer a popular question, no, we did not grow up together or were ever in the same household.
I lived with my biological father until foster care and she lived with her mother.I am going to give her some space but I hope in the next month to pursue some kind of relationship with her, rather that’s us being together or me being a friend or brother.
I really just don’t want to lose this women from my life, thank you reddit, you have really made me feel.. human and I honestly feel so much better then I did this morning. I will come back and update you all with what ends up happening between us.

In a video shared on X, the woman explained that she normally sends money to her Access Bank account in Nigeria as a way of saving her funds.
According to her, she became concerned after noticing an issue with her account and attempted to contact her account officer, identified as Doris.

She said Doris initially did not respond to her messages, which she described as unusual, before eventually contacting her and asking whether she had withdrawn money from the account.
The woman said her account officer later accessed her account and printed her bank statement, where they reportedly noticed transactions involving N5 million.
She said: “She was giving me different excuses so suddnely she entered my account and told me to send her a email because she cannot enter my account again because they have blocked her, she logged into my account and printed the statement of my account and we saw the people that withdraw N5M from my account and their names is there their bvn, their photos are there that we can use to get them arrested and accorinding to my account officer, she said she would login into Palmpay and others that they use to in nigeria and i told her fine do it to see if we get any good reply.
“She then told me that accessbank did not do anything and she cannot do anything behind accessbank, I have emailed accessbank countless of times, I did not see their reply, I cry onto Nigerians please have mercy on me before accessbank kills me silently please have mercy on meN5m is too much to avoid for me……. Nigerians I need help, Nigeria police please i have evidnece to have these people arrested their BVN Number, picture account number is there even one of their number is on whatsapp they wiithdraw N5M from my account Nigerians please help, I cannot avoid N5M i didnt steal before I saw this money have mercy on me”
The woman is now appealing to Nigerians, the Nigeria Police Force and Access Bank to look into the matter and help establish what happened to the money.
She also claimed that she had contacted the bank several times through email but had not received the response she expected.

She explained that the family also tried to track her daughter’s location after becoming concerned about her safety.

“Since 6am I haven’t been able to talk to my child. Around 7am when we started using her location to trace her, she hanged up. We’ve been trying to reach her since then, her calls are going through but she’s not picking up”
She also appealed directly to the Nigerian government to intervene and help locate her daughter.

The incident reportedly happened on Saturday, September 26, when two vessels were seen speeding toward the coastline with passengers on board. According to reports, the vessels approached the beach before the migrants made their way onto shore.

Footage from the scene showed a police officer driving an ATV along the beach after the migrants were spotted. Officers then pursued some of the individuals as they attempted to move away from the shoreline.
One of the migrants was seen being stopped by officers and taken down onto the sand as the enforcement operation unfolded.

Kalender, who played as a defender for Turkish second-tier club Bandırmaspor, died in hospital in Adana on September 23 after his condition deteriorated.
His death was announced by his wife, Çiğdem Kalender, who revealed that the illness was first diagnosed around nine months ago.
She wrote: “He was diagnosed with cancer approximately nine months ago.
“During this process, the illness, which initially began in his eye, unfortunately spread to other organs over time.”

“He was receiving treatment. He had improved at the beginning of the summer, but the cancer had progressed to his lungs.”
During the 2024/25 season, he made 25 appearances for Adana Demirspor in Turkey’s top-flight Süper Lig and scored one goal.
He also scored three other goals during his career, with two coming in the fourth-tier 3. Lig Group 2 and another in the Türkiye Kupası, Turkey’s equivalent of the FA Cup.
One of the notable achievements of Kalender’s career came during the 2020/21 season when he helped Adana Demirspor win the Turkish second-tier title.
His death at just 25 has left the Turkish football community mourning the loss of a young defender whose career was cut short by illness.
