A Nigerian man has taken to social media to seek help after claiming that he received threats from individuals he believes were connected to a TikTok giveaway he participated in.

According to the man, he received ₦100,000 after joining a livestream on TikTok on June 6. He alleged that the people behind the broadcast later contacted him and demanded a much larger sum of money.

In a video shared online, the man said he initially believed the livestream was harmless and thought those involved were simply entertaining viewers.

He explained that after following the account and submitting his bank details, he received the money. However, he later became worried when he allegedly received a message demanding ₦100 million.

Speaking in Yoruba, he said:

“Where ever you are watching me, I used the moment to confess to everyone ….. Truly bandits came acroess my Tiktok fyp (For your page) on the 6th of june…… during that live, they made us understand they would give people money that followed them and me I also followed them and then I was thinking that they were trying to catch fun, It was a young boy we saw on the Tiktok live so immediately I dropped my account number and took the money, a email entered my phone ….. Please help me they said I should bring N100M please help me I collected the money i was on the live that day it happened”

A young nurse, Nayeli Larrahondo, has reportedly died after suffering complications during a liposuction procedure at a beauty clinic.

According to reports, the procedure took place on June 5. During the surgery, Larrahondo allegedly suffered a cardiorespiratory arrest, leading to a medical emergency.

Following the complication, she was rushed to a local hospital for urgent treatment. Despite efforts by medical personnel, she was later pronounced dead.

The tragic incident has drawn attention to the potential risks associated with cosmetic procedures and the importance of seeking treatment from qualified professionals operating in properly licensed facilities.

Following news of her death, a previous social media post made by Nayeli in December 2025 resurfaced online. In the post, she wrote:

“Don’t try to compete with my looks – I always win people over with my personality.”

Authorities have also responded to the incident. In a statement, the Municipal Administration of Puerto Tejada urged members of the public to exercise caution when considering cosmetic treatments.

The statement read:

“We urge the public to ensure that any professionals and facilities providing care are properly authorised and comply with all current legal and regulatory requirements.

“Being informed and taking precautions are essential to protecting health and saving lives.”

Residents of a community in Ogun State were thrown into shock after a newborn baby was reportedly discovered wrapped inside a cement bag and abandoned.

The incident came to public attention after a video was shared on X by user Prudenceoflaos3, showing the dramatic rescue of the infant by concerned passersby.

A Nigerian man has taken to social media to express concern after allegedly spotting a group of armed men dressed in military-style uniforms riding motorcycles in the Ikotun area of Lagos State.

The video was shared by a content creator known as Ogbarron Entertainment, who said he observed the men moving around the area while wearing outfits that looked like military uniforms, alongside keffiyeh tied around their faces

According to him, the appearance of the men caused confusion and fear among people in the area, as their dressing made it difficult to determine whether they were security personnel or not.

Speaking in Yoruba in the video, he said:
“When i went out now when i entered my shop, I was at the side of the road where i sat down i saw some army, like they wore army clothes, they carried guns and they passed while on bike and we saw some that carried cars but to my own surprise, that thing that bandits wear on their heads they wore it on their head.

“We didnt know if they are security that are parading everywhere or they are bandits, Please lagos state government tell the Armies if they are securities you see what those bandits wear on their heads, tell them to stop wearing it. It is better if they wear their normal military camoflauge than tying that thing on their head”

He further explained that people around the scene were also alarmed and unsure of the identity of the armed men due to their appearance.

The man called on the Lagos State government to clarify the identity of such personnel when seen in public and urged that military personnel should avoid wearing face coverings that resemble those commonly associated with criminal groups, saying it causes panic among residents.

Veteran actor James Handy, known for his role in Jumanji, has died after a stabbing incident at a residence in Los Angeles.

According to reports, officers from the Los Angeles Police Department responded to a home in the 19200 block of Erwin Street on Wednesday morning following a 911 call.

Authorities said the caller reportedly told dispatchers: “I am the son of man, I just killed the man of sin.”

When officers arrived at the scene, they found Handy, 81, unconscious in the front yard with a stab wound to the chest.

Emergency responders transported him to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The Los Angeles Police Department identified the suspect as Michael Gledhill, 44, of Tarzana.

Investigators said Gledhill allegedly approached officers as they arrived and informed them that he was the individual they were looking for.

Police also revealed that Gledhill lived at the residence with his mother, who was reportedly Handy’s girlfriend.

Following the incident, Gledhill was arrested and booked into the Van Nuys Jail on a murder charge.

Authorities said his bail was set at $2 million.

Police in India have launched a manhunt for a 25-year-old man accused of killing his younger sister following a disagreement reportedly related to her relationship with a boyfriend.

The suspect, identified as Amir Ahmer, is alleged to have attacked his 21-year-old sister, Ariba, at their family home in Adampur village, located in the Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh, on May 31, 2026.

According to local reports, the family had previously warned the young woman against maintaining contact with her boyfriend. Authorities believe the dispute escalated, leading to the fatal incident.

Reports from local media indicate that the victim suffered a fatal throat injury during the attack.

Following the incident, senior police officials, including Sanjay Verma, visited the scene as investigations got underway.

A forensic team and a police dog squad were also deployed to gather evidence and assist investigators in reconstructing the events that led to the killing.

Speaking about the case, Verma said:

“We received information through a watchman that a young woman named Ariba, aged around 21-22 years, was murdered by her brother because she used to talk to a young man.”

Authorities confirmed that the victim’s body was taken for a post-mortem examination as part of the ongoing investigation.

Police are continuing efforts to locate and arrest the suspect, who remains at large.
