I could not cope- Woman leaves husband after 2 weeks of marriage

A Kenyan woman named Ann Wairimu Gachie has opened up about leaving her husband just two weeks after their marriage in April 2012 due to financial struggles.

In an interview with Tuko, Ann shared that she found herself unable to cope with their financial issues and was irritated by small things in their relationship, leading her to move out of their matrimonial home.

Reflecting on her decision, she mentioned that she sought refuge at a friend’s house, who was her best friend and knew everything about her marriage.

“I found out I could not cope. I was having anger issues, and I had to abandon my husband two weeks into the marriage. I went to my friend’s house. She was my best friend and knew almost everything about me and my marriage,” she said

Ann now regrets her actions, stating, “I don’t think that would ever happen again because we have been through many challenges I cannot run away from now. Looking at things from the present perspective, I don’t think I would have reacted like I did.”
