A Nigerian woman has appealed for help on social media after claiming she was banned from entering Canada for five years following an alleged visa application scam.

In a video shared online, the woman became emotional as she explained that she spent about ₦18 million, which she described as her entire life savings, on tuition-related processing and agency fees for admission to a university in Canada.

According to her, the travel agent handling her application allegedly submitted a false bank statement as part of her visa documents without her knowledge.

She claimed that after Canadian immigration authorities discovered the discrepancy, her visa application was refused and she was issued a five-year ban from entering the country.

The woman further alleged that the travel agent has refused to refund the ₦18 million she paid despite the outcome of the application.

Speaking in the video, she said:

“Nigerians please come and help me, I used My entire Life Savings N18Million to pay a Traveling agent N18Million to do Canada visa for me, only to find out that I’ve been scammed and now Canada has denied my Visa and banned me for 5 years, the travel agent has refused to refund my N18m, my life is finished…”

Stella Okafor, the widow of late Nigerian actor Mr Ibu, has addressed claims surrounding money donated following her husband’s death, insisting that the funds were used for his burial and not kept for personal use.

Speaking during an interview with King Mitchy, Stella responded to allegations made by a man who identified himself as one of Mr Ibu’s sons. According to the claims referenced during the interview, the son alleged that he did not receive any proceeds after a family property was sold and also claimed that when he sought financial assistance for his WAEC examination, Stella only gave him ₦40,000.

When asked why she did not provide more financial support, Stella explained that disagreements over money began while the family was still in the village after Mr Ibu’s passing.

She said:

“Before they sold the land we were still in the village and they were dragging with me with one money that they gave me during the burial time, they insisted that I am going to share the money with them, I told them that this is money that they gave me for my children.”

When King Mitchy asked how much she received, Stella replied:

“500,000 naira.”

She maintained that the money in question was meant for her and her children.

The interview also revisited an earlier video showing that a total of ₦7.5 million was donated to the family following the late actor’s passing.

A British man has spoken about his dental ordeal after travelling to Turkey for cosmetic dental treatment, claiming he is now facing a repair bill of up to £40,000 after experiencing years of complications.

Danny Tomlinson said he decided to undergo the procedure after being impressed by the results achieved by a friend who had received similar treatment abroad.

According to him, he initially paid £3,500 for a full set of crowns after having his natural teeth shaved down. He later spent an additional £3,900 on dental implant treatment.

Danny admitted that he carried out little research before travelling for the procedure.

“I didn’t do any research, I just booked it.

“I didn’t want to watch videos or look at the aftermath – I just went on impulse.”

He explained that he underwent the treatment in 2020 and was initially pleased with the results, expecting them to last between five and seven years.

However, he later noticed that some of the teeth were becoming loose.

Six months after the procedure, Danny returned to the clinic in Turkey for further treatment. Over the following years, he made nine return trips as the problems continued.

Speaking about his experience, he said:

“Every time I went back, the clinic didn’t really say anything.

“They just cleaned my teeth and let me go on my way.

“Eventually, they said my bottom teeth would need replacing.”

Danny said he now wishes he had explored other options before undergoing the treatment.

“If I told a UK dentist my plan to have all my teeth shaved down, they would have told me not to have it done.

“I could have just had a brace and I wish that’s what I’d done.

“I really regret it now.

“I should never have done it.”

He added that the condition of his teeth has affected his daily life.

“My teeth move, I can feel it all the time.

“I can’t eat or bite anything and I have to use a knife and fork for burgers.

“I can’t shut my mouth properly so it’s always half open.

“The dentist said they won’t all fall out in five minutes but there’s a risk and the top two front teeth are in the danger zone.”

According to Danny, replacing the damaged implants could cost around £3,000 per tooth, with the total cost of corrective treatment estimated at up to £40,000.

“It’s going to cost me thousands.

“I’ve got to sort it one way or another but I’m not going back to Turkey.

“I don’t know what to do.

“I can afford a few teeth but not £40,000.

“I’m worried sick.

“If my teeth fall out, that’s it.

“I’ll put a mask on and fly wherever I have to go to get them done.”

Warning others about his experience, Danny urged people to carefully consider their options before undergoing cosmetic dental procedures abroad.

“Don’t go to Turkey for dentist work.

“Do not do it.

“Not one dentist in England would have told me to shave my teeth down.

“Don’t get them shaved down when you can just get a brace.

“The prices are going up.

“I’d never recommend one person on this planet to get their teeth done in Turkey.”

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a 22-year-old man, Onipede Ojo, for allegedly stealing a police officer’s belongings and using them to impersonate the officer.

According to the police, the stolen items included a camouflage uniform, warrant card, mobile phone, ATM card, and other personal belongings belonging to the officer.

The suspect was reportedly apprehended by vigilant residents in the Maryland area of Lagos after they noticed what they considered unusual behaviour.

Residents reportedly stopped and questioned him, during which he claimed that he had found the police uniform, bearing the name tag of Inspector Jimoh Weheed, along Maryland Road.

Following the encounter, the suspect was handed over to the police for further investigation.

The Lagos State Police Command stated that Ojo is currently in custody while investigations continue into the matter.

The command added that he will be charged in court upon the conclusion of the investigation.

While praising the residents for their vigilance and sense of civic responsibility, the police cautioned members of the public against taking the law into their own hands.

A woman has taken to social media to share an experience after she and her husband reportedly found a baby abandoned outside their residential compound.

In a video posted on TikTok, the woman explained that the discovery was made while she was on her way to her husband’s shop.

According to her, they were leaving the house when they noticed a baby who had been left in front of their compound. The unexpected sight left them concerned as they tried to understand how the child ended up there.

In the video, a man believed to be her husband could be heard expressing disbelief over the situation.

A mother has shared how a difficult divorce, combined with the pressure of raising three children and working full-time, led her to notice serious changes in her health and appearance.

The woman, Kristina Hamilton, explained that during this period of intense stress, she began experiencing joint pain and difficulty swallowing. At first, she assumed it was simply exhaustion and emotional strain from everything she was dealing with at the time.

She described how the condition slowly began to affect her body in ways she could not ignore.

She said: “The invasion it was having on my body was relentless

“In medical terms, what I’ve got is a rare and chronic autoimmune disease.

“In my terms, it’s a glitch in the system.

“When my symptoms first started, I honestly thought it was stress and exhaustion.

“At the time, I was going through so much.

“I just ignored it.

“And, I didn’t want to believe something serious was wrong.

“Even when my body started changing, and the pain became harder to ignore, I still tried to push through it because that’s what I’ve always done in life.

“But, deep down, I knew something didn’t feel right.”

After medical evaluation in 2022, she was diagnosed with diffuse systemic scleroderma, a rare autoimmune condition that affects the skin and internal organs.

She described the moment as overwhelming, saying the medical explanation did little to capture what living with the illness actually feels like.

“I had no idea what the condition meant for me – until it started to steal my life.

“As things got worse, I became scared and confused.

I remember looking down at my hands when they started to turn white and feeling confused because I had never seen anything like it before.

“I tried to convince myself it was poor circulation or maybe I was just cold.

“They didn’t feel like my own anymore.

“And then when my teeth started falling out, it was devastating.

“I felt like I was losing parts of myself piece by piece.

“Every time I looked in the mirror, I saw someone I didn’t recognise anymore.”

She added that the changes to her appearance made her avoid taking photos and made everyday social interactions more difficult.

She said: “My hands, once capable of providing medical care to others, began curling into a claw-like position.

“They were frozen and painful.

“I’ve watched helplessly as my weight has dropped to the point where I look like a skeleton.

“Eating is less about hunger now, as I’m not hungry.

“When my appearance began to change, I noticed people reacting differently to me.

“Some stared without realising, while others looked away quickly because they didn’t know what to say.

“There were moments that hurt deeply; whispers, uncomfortable looks and even comments that made me feel self-conscious about changes I couldn’t control.

“I’ve had people assume I was contagious and speak about me with pity instead of understanding.

“It’s been painful, because behind the disease, I’m still the same person.

“I’m a mother, a wife, a friend and someone trying to live life fully.”

Kristina also reflected on the emotional and financial toll of the illness, noting that she had to stop working and adjust to a life filled with uncertainty, fatigue, and ongoing health challenges.

She said learning that the condition was incurable and potentially life-threatening was one of the hardest moments she has ever faced, especially as it affects vital organs and has no clear progression timeline.

Despite everything, she shared that she has chosen to focus on gratitude and the relationships she still has.

Kristina met her now husband, Chris, 44, shortly before her diagnosis. Although she was not searching for a relationship at the time, she said his support came when she needed it most.

As her condition progressed and her appearance changed, he remained by her side and helped her adjust to the uncertainty.

The couple became engaged in May 2024, aware of the urgency brought on by her health situation.

In April 2025, they officially got married in a ceremony supported by Wish Upon a Wedding, a non-profit organization that helped fund their special day.

A woman has touched many hearts online after sharing her personal experience and encouraging women to choose kind partners when getting married.

In a post on X, the woman recounted a difficult period in her life after she was involved in a gas explosion that left both of her legs badly burned. Due to the injuries, she was unable to walk for several days and depended heavily on her husband for support.

According to her, her husband stepped up in every way possible despite not knowing how to cook. Whenever she felt hungry, he made sure food was readily available by ordering meals for her before she even had to ask.

She also revealed that he went out of his way to find remedies that could aid her recovery. After hearing that aloe vera could help soothe burns, he returned home with aloe vera gels and potted aloe vera plants. The following day, he arranged for a large bottle of honey to be delivered after learning that it might also help with burn treatment.

When she asked about the cost, her husband reportedly told her not to worry about the expense, stressing that her healing and well-being were more important than the money spent.

The woman further shared an emotional moment that occurred during her recovery. One night, she woke up needing to use the bathroom while her husband was asleep in his workspace after a long day of work. Unable to get his attention, she painfully dragged herself to the bathroom. During the process, she accidentally soiled herself and became overwhelmed with emotion.

Her crying eventually woke her husband, who immediately rushed to her side. Rather than expressing frustration, he apologized for not hearing her call, comforted her, cleaned up the situation, and reassured her while she was in tears.

She wrote: “Marry a kind man o… 

I was involved in a gas explosion that had both legs burned. Both my legs were bandaged and for days I couldn’t walk. 

My husband doesn’t know how to cook but before I said I was hungry, he would have ordered food. 

One day he came home with two different pure aloe Vera extract gels and two pots of the aloe Vera plant. He said he heard that aloe Vera helps to heal burns.. 

The next day someone delivered a big bottle of honey .. my husband said. Another person told him honeys was good for burns but most honey they sold were fake so he ordered some from a vendor in the village that harvests the honey by herself… I asked how much he bought it.. he said it was expensive but I shouldnt worry, my healing was his priority . 

On one of those days I couldn’t walk, I woke up in the midnight and needed to pee, my husband had worked till very late at night so he slept off in his work space. I called for him to come carry me but he couldn’t hear me, so I dragged myself to the bathroom in pain when I got back to the bed I had peed a little on myself and cleaning up without being able to walk or stand felt impossible… I immediately started to cry… my crying woke my husband up and he rushed into the room asking if I was okay… he kept apologizing for sleeping off in his work space while cleaning me up and cleaning my tears…

A traditional leader from Arochukwu, the hometown of Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo, has made a claim suggesting that the late actor’s wife is currently expecting their first child together.

This comes as preparations continue for the actor’s burial, following his arrival on June 17 for a wake-keep ceremony ahead of his final rites, which are scheduled to take place today.

In a video shared from the Eze Aro of Arochukwu’s palace, the traditional ruler was seen offering prayers over Alexx Ekubo’s casket. During the prayer session, he stated that the late actor’s wife is pregnant and prayed for the safe delivery of the child.

He also offered prayers for the unborn child, wishing that the child would achieve greater success than the father.

A parent has taken to Facebook to seek advice on how to address a sleeping habit he has noticed in his daughter.

In a post shared on the social media platform, the man, identified as Enubuzor Chukwudi, expressed concern about the way his daughter sleeps, stating that she often spreads her legs widely while asleep.

According to him, he has made several attempts to correct the habit but has not seen any improvement. He explained that whenever he tries to adjust her sleeping position by closing her legs, she reopens them moments later.

Seeking opinions from other Facebook users, he wrote:

“How do I stop my daughter from spreading her legs so wide while sleeping? I have tried several times to correct her, yet there is no positive result. Once you close her legs, she will open them again within seconds. Is the sleeping pattern good? I do not like it.”
