Alison Hammond Rushed to Hospital After Clutching Her Chest and Falling Ill Live on This Morning

Alison Hammond was rushed to hospital after becoming unwell while presenting This Morning live on Friday.

The incident happened while Hammond was speaking with Dr Scott during the programme when she suddenly began clutching her chest before appearing to fall ill.

Her co-presenter, Dermot O’Leary, then helped her away from the sofa as the programme continued live.

Dr Scott appeared concerned as he attempted to continue with the segment, while a loud retching sound was reportedly heard in the background.

The programme then went to an advert break before returning with Dermot alone on the set.

Addressing viewers, Dermot said:

“Welcome back to This Morning Ali is feeling just a little unwell so she’s just had to duck out,’ the concerned-looking star told viewers “Hopefully she’ll be back in a sec”

Later in the programme, Dermot confirmed that Hammond would not be returning to the show.

He said:

“Ali’s feeling a little unwell so I’ll be here for the rest of the show.”

A source reportedly told the Daily Mail that Hammond had been taken to hospital but indicated that she appeared to be okay.

The source said:

“She’s gone to hospital but we think she’s okay. She walked into the ambulance after leaving the studio”
