A tragic incident was reported in Chikkagowdanapalya, South Bengaluru, where 65-year-old retired BMTC driver Venkatesan R and his 60-year-old paralysed wife, Baby M were found dead inside their home on December 2nd.
According to preliminary information, Venkatesan had been deeply distressed about his wife’s health. She reportedly became paralysed around the time he retired five years ago and had since required full-time care. Family members shared that her condition had been emotionally overwhelming for him.
Their son, Arun Kumar V, told police that his father had previously expressed alarming thoughts about harming himself and his wife, which the family had been worried about.
On the day of the incident, Venkatesan was expected to pick up his grandson from school. Instead, he phoned his daughter-in-law around 11:45 a.m., asking her to return home with the child. When she arrived around 12:45 p.m., she discovered that both Venkatesan and his wife had died.
Police have confirmed that no note was found.
