Authorities in Tennessee have confirmed that there are no survivors following the massive explosion that occurred at a manufacturing plant in Humphreys County earlier this week.
During a press conference on Saturday, Sheriff Chris Davis delivered the heartbreaking update, revealing that despite extensive search efforts, no survivors were found.
“I can tell you that more than 300 people have been through almost every square inch of this facility, and at this time, we’ve recovered no survivors,” Davis said
He added: “We find it even more devastating than what we thought initially”
The explosion, which took place at Accurate Energetic Systems, located near Bucksnort, about 50 miles west of Nashville, shook the community on Friday morning.
At the time, officials had reported that 19 people were missing, but did not confirm any fatalities.
