Parents stop letting your kids get married at the age of 18- Lady advises, shares how she got married at 18, Divorce at age 23

A woman has shared her personal experience on social media, urging parents to reconsider arranging or encouraging their children to get married at a young age.

In a video posted on TikTok, she explained that she got married when she was only 18 years old and went through a divorce by the time she was 23.

Addressing parents directly, she pleaded with them to “take it easy” on their children and allow them to mature fully before entering into marriage. She shared that her own early marriage at 18 had a significant negative impact on her life, and she is still working to rebuild and correct the mistakes she made due to starting adult life too quickly.

She stated that when her own children reach 18, she has no intention of pushing them into marriage because she doesn’t want them to experience the difficulties she faced.

The woman also revealed that she finished secondary school at just 13 and began working at 14, using her earnings to buy her own clothes. She admitted that she lacked understanding of financial independence at the time. She also confessed to falling in love quickly and mistakenly believing she was already a fully capable adult.
