We get stares in public till the extent people question my mom on why I would marry a man 7yrs older than me

Lungile Hongana recently opened up about the judgment she faced for dating an older man who is seven years her senior.

She shared that when her now-husband first showed interest in her, she was already in a relationship and didn’t pay him much attention. It wasn’t until later, while she was still in school, that she decided to give him a chance.

Lungile also recounted the criticism and rumors she and her mother faced during the early days of her relationship. Some people went as far as accusing her husband of being a married man while they were still dating.During her narration with Breifly Tv life on how she met her husband, Lonwabo who was married, she said: “I met Lonwabo the first time i was going for Job Interview from the minutes he saw he he knew that he is going to marry me but i don’t believed that, he made the move i didn’t give him the time of day because at that time i was still in a relationship but then after a while i was like okay this guy is not bad and i started answering his DMs and actually investing in the conversation and then in 2020 it then became official.

Her first impression about him??, she said: “I didn’t really like him he was kind of mean but i realized that he had to be stern cause he is a boss and then when i got to talk to him, he was like he’s so sweet, shockingly sweet he is a bear and a literal teddy bear.

What she likes about him, she said: “He is actually a giving person and i think it sterns from him being muslim i don’t want to say it is wrong but you are 10times blessed the more you give it is amazing to just see him like randomly someone is asking for something and he will be like let’s go in the store and he’ll like just vibrate milk the one where I’m like wow you are a gem he is a stern provider he beliefs that it is my responsibility to make sure that everything in my home is good and my wife is happy.

What she treasures more about her relationship with her husband, she added saying: “what i treasure about our relationship is our honesty and communication this is the first man that I have been able to be my entire self with and be honest and even have uncomfortable conversation but know that however uncomfortable it is it’s supposed be heard and there is no i’m going to hold it against you in the future or i’m going to judge you or anything like that.
Their age gap??, she said: “Our age gap is 7yrs but i think 7yrs is ok as long as you two consenting adults.

Does the age gap have any effect on their relationship??, she said: “I think when we were starting we had concerns cause i was still in school and he has really established his life so is it safe to go down that root, i’m going to school Im not stable, I don’t have money i still live with my parents and some weekends was like i cant come when i was supposed to come because of my mom and on my side i had insecurities of why me im just a kid in school trying to figure out my life and once i graduate im still here to figure out my life also i believe i need money not just on the guy side but also on the girl’s side my love language is gifting i love to spoil my partner.

“During our relationship honestly i had nothing to contribute, he was okay he was like i would figure it out for the both of us luckily we weren’t living together everything i go to him he would be taking us out he would be paying for everything dates and everything but when it started getting tougher was when we moved in together because i can’t expect him to buy like everything in this household take care of me i pushed so hard to get a job even if i hated what i was doing at that time even now he does almost everything but i still push to help with groceries and whatever else i can help with.

“And i think it is very important to work, have something for yourself and also very important to bring something to the table to help because it does weigh heavy on your partner.

How she feels with her partner in public when people stare, she added saying: “It doesn’t help that i have a baby face it doesn’t help that he kind of doesn’t look like his age so yes there is age gap but i look younger than 26…….we have had not just the stares we have had actual people be like this is odd it doesn’t help that he was driving the car that he was driving at the time that he picked me up in school and people be like hmm but in malls it was so evident because people stay and like okay at the end of the day you are strangers we don’t owe you anything some were like ah it is not going to last they even said he is gonna be done with me we moved along but in terms us that is the last thing that could have affected us together a lot of things were said about me and my mom’s parenting style like your mom just makes you do that boys come and fetch you men come and fetch you at home my mom actually did cut a lot of people in my hood even her allowing me to actually date this boy she has reached a point she realized that she was a good kid she trusted me and she saw int he way my husband was treating me she was like i’m gonna let this happen i’m gonna let my child date.”

I thought I was going to die because the water was up to my chest and the hole was so deep — Woman recounts after falling into open manhole while walking to work

A video that has gone viral online shows the terrifying moment a woman fell into a manhole while on her way to work in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The woman, identified as Fabiana Rosa, had just gotten off a ride-hailing motorcycle and was walking toward her workplace while looking at her phone when the incident occurred.

CCTV footage shows her stepping onto a manhole cover, which suddenly gave way. She slipped and fell into the opening as the cover swung back into place above her.

A motorcyclist who had dropped her off witnessed the incident and immediately rushed to help.

The accident reportedly happened at 7:41 a.m. on May 31 in Rio de Janeiro.

Fabiana was later taken to the hospital for treatment. She recounted the terrifying experience, saying:

“I thought I was going to die, because the water was up to my chest and the hole was so deep.

“I stepped on the edge of the hole, on the metal, and just went straight in. The cover flipped, hit my forehead, and I fell inside.

“The motorbike driver saw me falling. So he got off the bike and came over, because I was calling for help.

“The residents came, got a ladder from the bakery, and pulled me out.

“I’m in a lot of pain, sore all over – my forehead, arm, leg, backside, chest. I can’t get out of bed.

“I keep thinking that if it had been a child in my place, they would have died, because a child wouldn’t be able to stay there, with all that water and cables, and it’s so deep.”

Investigators believe the accident may have been linked to suspected theft activity in the area. CCTV footage from earlier in the morning reportedly showed two men tampering with the manhole cover around 1:59 a.m.

Authorities suspect the individuals were attempting to steal copper cables from the drainage system. Although they left without taking anything, one of them allegedly replaced the cover without properly securing it.

Officials also confirmed that another nearby manhole cover had been removed in the area.

In response, the Tijuca Subprefecture stated: “The equipment has already been put back in place, and the maintenance department has been called in to ensure it is properly secured and to guarantee road safety.”

Woman shares how she endured years of abuse before her husband poured acid on her

A woman identified as Gift has opened up about the traumatic experience she allegedly suffered at the hands of her husband, Godday claiming he poured acid on her during their marriage.

Speaking in a video shared by Berekete Family, Gift narrated her ordeal and revealed that following the incident, her husband was arrested and remanded in Keffi Prison.

According to Gift, her struggles began at a young age. She explained that she was raised by her grandmother until she turned 13, when a man she had never known came into her life and introduced himself as her biological father.

She alleged that her father later handed her over to one of his friends in Abuja, where she endured severe maltreatment and was allegedly forced into sexual activities.

Gift said she eventually left the house and tried to rebuild her life. However, she later received a call from one of her husband’s friends, who informed her that her husband was seeking forgiveness and regretted his past actions.

Trusting that he had changed, she agreed to meet him at his friend’s residence. According to her, while they were sitting in the living room, her husband suddenly picked up a substance that was beside him and poured it on her. She believes the substance was acid.

Corroborating part of the story, the wife of the husband’s friend shared her account of the events leading up to the incident.

She said:”They have been having this issue several times. Sometimes, I used to settle them. So, one day, she came to my place and later went home. The man (Gift’s husband) beat her mercilessly, so she called me early in the morning. I went there and asked her what was happening. She told me that because she came to my place, her husband beat her. I asked why, and she said she didn’t know. She was crying, her face was swollen, and she said her neck was paining her. She told me he strangled her neck and nearly killed her the previous night.

“I said, ‘Why?’ While we were there, the husband came. I asked him why he beat her, and he said he did not beat her. My friend later told me I should just leave the matter.”

The witness said she eventually left them and returned to her business.

She further stated:

“So later in the evening, Gift told me that she left the man’s house because if she stayed there, he would kill her. I said, ‘Okay.’ We continued communicating with her even after she left her husband’s house.

“That very day, in November last year (2025), she told me her brother was preparing for a wedding and asked me to help her go to the market to buy some things. She said she would call me when it was time.

“To my greatest surprise, somebody later called me and asked me to rush to the hospital because something had happened. I asked what happened, and they told me the worst had happened. They said he poured acid on her.

“Since that very day, I left my shop and went there. When I saw what happened, I was angry. I called the man (Gift’s husband) and told him, ‘You have done the worst, right? You want to kill her, right?’ He said, ‘Let her die.’

“I asked him why he poured acid on her. He said, ‘Yes, I poured it on her. If she wants to die, let her die.’ I told him she would not die. Since that day, I have been with her in the hospital and have not left her. We first took her to a nearby hospital, but there was no improvement, so we moved her to another hospital, and it was the same thing.”

The emotional account has since drawn reactions online, with many expressing sympathy for Gift and calling for justice in the case.

Family and Friends Mourn Nigerian UK Returnee Kidnapped and Killed in Delta State

Family members, friends, and loved ones have paid their final respects to Samson Onotakaroma Agidotan, a 44-year-old Nigerian returnee from the United Kingdom who was reportedly kidnapped and later found dead in Delta State.

The tragic news was shared by his friend, Omoike Erewele, in a post on Facebook, where he recounted the circumstances surrounding the incident.

According to Erewele, Samson returned to Nigeria from the United Kingdom and was travelling to meet with family members on January 29, 2026, when he was allegedly abducted.

Sadly, weeks later, reports indicated that his body was discovered on February 17, 2026, bringing a heartbreaking end to the search for him.

Following months of mourning and funeral preparations, Samson was finally laid to rest on May 22, 2026.

He wrote: “Life is truly unpredictable. Yesterday around 9pm while driving from Peterborough to London on the M25, I received a strange phone call from a woman asking if I knew someone named Samson,” he wrote.

“I told her I knew different people with that name and that I was driving, so she could call me back later. But from her voice, I could already sense that something was terribly wrong.

“She later sent me a picture, and to my greatest shock, it was my very close friend here in the UK from Sapele.

“I immediately confirmed that I knew him very well. I had even tried calling him some days ago, but his UK number was switched off, which was unusual.

“Then she sent me his obituary. I was completely speechless. She explained that she was his wife and that she got my number from a phone he had previously gifted to their daughter.

“She told me he travelled to Nigeria and was kidnapped. Days later, his lifeless body was discovered in the bush in Asaba.

“What a painful world we live in. A good man gone just like that.

“This has deeply shaken me because he was honestly one of the best people I met in the UK, humble, kind, peaceful, hardworking, and full of life. It is heartbreaking to know that his wife and daughter are now left behind with this pain.

“May his soul rest in perfect peace. May God comfort and strengthen his family. And may we all value life and the people around us, because tomorrow is never promised.

Comr Omoike.”

He is not a true Muslim — Nigerians slam Razak Okoya for bringing ring light to prayer ground during Eid al-Adha

Raheem Okoya, son of Nigerian billionaire businessman Rasak Okoya, has come under heavy criticism on social media platform X after sharing a video recorded while observing Eid al-Adha prayers.

The video, which quickly went viral online, showed Raheem filming himself during the prayer session, a move many Nigerians described as disrespectful and inappropriate.

Several users on X reacted strongly to the clip, criticizing both his conduct and the manner in which the prayer was performed.

One user wrote:

“Billionaire’s son, Raheem Okoya, thinks he can do whatever he likes and call it prayer. This is my problem with some self-proclaimed Muslims. Nobody is forcing anyone to practice Islam. If you choose to pray, then you should do it the right way.”

Another user simply commented:

“The boy is not a Muslim.”

A different reaction read:

“This is totally unacceptable and his sallah is not complete. He is not praying to God but praying to himself. Whatever wealth or influence he has, Allah can take it away within the blink of an eye. He should humble himself. Dangote, BUA and other big names bow down to Allah; he is nothing in front of Allah.”

Others also questioned certain aspects of his prayer posture shown in the video.

One critic stated:

“His prayer is invalid because he skipped very important aspects of the prayer. His forehead is not on the ground, he is laying all his hands flat on the ground instead of just the palms, and he is not sitting straight for the tahiyyat. Wasted his time.”

The video has since generated widespread debate online, with some defending Raheem Okoya while others insisted that religious practices should be approached with seriousness and respect.

Mom dies after undergoing 3-in-1 cosmetic surgery shortly after giving birth

A 39-year-old mother identified as Juliana Silva Xavier has tragically died after suffering complications following a three-in-one cosmetic surgery procedure.

According to reports, Juliana underwent the surgeries on May 11 after paying more than 20,000 BRL for the procedures, which she had reportedly dreamed of having for a long time.

However, shortly after the operation, her health began to deteriorate. Reports stated that she suffered cardiac arrest and experienced severe complications during her recovery period.

Due to the seriousness of her condition, Juliana was transferred to another medical facility, Hospital Alvorada Moema, on May 13. Sadly, she was declared brain dead the following day, May 14, and her life support was withdrawn.

Speaking to local media, her husband, Luís Antônio Castro Barros, revealed that they had asked doctors whether it was safe for Juliana to undergo surgery so soon after childbirth.

Juliana and her husband, Luis

“We asked whether it was safe to have surgery so soon after that, and the doctor said there would be no danger,” he said.

He also described the distressing symptoms Juliana experienced after the procedure.

“She was in pain, hot, thirsty, and her lips were pale and bluish,” he recalled.

In response to the incident, the surgeon involved, through his lawyer Raul Canal, released a statement saying the operation itself had been successful and without immediate complications.

“The surgery proceeded as expected and without complications,” the statement read.

“However, in the post-operative period there was a serious and unexpected clinical complication resulting from organic changes presented by the patient herself, which was promptly identified by the medical team.”

Before her death, Juliana worked as a sales manager for a retail company and was known for maintaining an active lifestyle. According to her husband, she enjoyed going to the gym and took great pride in caring for herself and her family.

“She was very image-conscious. She took care of her body and of me,” Luís said emotionally.

“I owe my life to her. I have a heart condition, I had heart surgery, and many times she helped me through it.”

He went on to describe her as a loving wife and devoted mother.

“She was a friend, a partner, a companion, a devoted wife, and a wonderful mother. She loved that baby, an angel, a divine gift,” he added.

Juliana was laid to rest in Iguape, where her family lives, on May 16.
