I didn’t not invite my mother to my wedding because she did not treat me well- Man
A newly married man recently shared on Reddit why he chose to exclude his mother from his wedding guest list and his wedding day altogether.
According to his post, his decision stems from a strained relationship that began when he was just eight years old. At that time, his mother divorced his father and quickly remarried a man named Dave, who already had two children from a previous marriage.
After the remarriage, the man explained that his mother shifted her attention entirely to Dave’s children, leaving him feeling neglected and overlooked.
He wrote: “I (26M) am getting married to my fiancée,(let’s call her Sarah (25F), in a few months, and I’m super excited about it. But there’s one big issue with all the planning—my mom.
A little background: My parents divorced when I was 8, and my mom (let’s call her Layla) remarried pretty quickly after that. She married this guy, Dave, who had two kids of his own. Ever since, it’s like I was no longer a priority in her life. She focused all her attention on Dave and his kids. Like, I’m not exaggerating when I say she treated them way better than me. They’d go on trips, she’d go to all their sport events, and they’d get everything they wanted. Meanwhile, I felt like I was invisible. She didn’t ask about my school, didn’t care about my friends, or even my mental health. I started to feel like I wasn’t even her kid anymore
When I turned 18, I moved out. I thought maybe she’d care and try to stay in touch, but nope—she didn’t. I’d text her once in a while just to check in, and she’d either not respond or say she was busy with Dave and his kids. I figured if she didn’t care, why should I? So, I just stopped trying to reach out.
Fast forward to now. I’m planning my wedding, and out of nowhere, my mom starts texting me like we’re super close. She wants to know all the details, saying how excited she is, and even saying things like, “I can’t wait to see you start this new chapter.” Like… seriously? I haven’t heard from her in years, and now she expects to be front and center for my wedding?
I told her straight up that I didn’t want her there. I said I’m not comfortable with her coming after everything that’s happened, and that if she really wants to have a relationship, we can talk about it after the wedding, but not before. She started crying and saying I’m holding a grudge and that “I’m her son” and “she deserves to be there.” But I don’t know how I’m supposed to just forget the fact that she ignored me my whole childhood in favor of Dave’s kids.
Now, my family is split. Some of them think I’m right and that I shouldn’t just let her show up when she never showed up for me. Others think I should just let it go, and “it’s just one day” and that I should let her come to the wedding to keep the peace.
So… AITA for not letting my mom come to my wedding after everything that happened?.”

You Impregnated Me at 16, Ran Away and Left Me With All the Responsibility — Woman Calls Out Man After He Asks Her to Change Their Son’s Surname Before Taking Responsibility
According to the woman, Kenneth got her pregnant when she was 16 and asked her to terminate the pregnancy. She said she did not understand what abortion was at the time and did not know how or where to get the drugs.
She said Kenneth later disappeared from Otukpo and did not take responsibility for the child.
Years later, Kenneth reportedly contacted her and asked to meet so they could discuss his responsibilities towards their son.

The woman said their son is now seven years old and will turn eight in December. She explained that the child currently bears her father’s surname because he has been staying with her parents.
According to her, Kenneth told her that the child’s surname must be changed to his own before he would begin taking responsibility for him.
She said:
“When I was 16years old, You got me pregnant, You said I should abort the baby i told you i dont know what is abortion i dont even know how and where I would get the drugs from and i dont know how I would go about it since 2018 till date you refused to take responsibility that was how you disappeared you disappeared from Otukpo that was not even my problem after so many years, this guy came back, after so many years, this boy that you are seeing is already 7 years and by December he would be 8years, this boy (Her son) is using my father’s name as his surname so last year, this guy said we should meet up so that we can talk about the responsibility of the child I said no problem, I dont even know how he got my contact, i dont even know how he reached out to me.
“Last year I was on my own when he called then i asked who is this, he said he is kenneth, and i was like which kenneth Ojobor that was when he started telling me that you dont know me again and i said me i thought you are dead oh, he said No he id not dead and i said no problem, Kenneth called me and told me we should meet and i told him i wont come and meet him despite the fact that both of us are in abuja here and we are in the same state, I cannot come and see you he said no problem, he would come and see me that day it was on sunday, I did not go to church and i said Okay lets meet in the morning because I have something to do later he said no problem, around 9 am he called me and said that he is already in Kubwa I said no problem, Just hang around, anywhere i would come and meet you after 2 hours, I showered i prepared everything then i Left the house, I left with my present boyfriend then i went to Kenneth when i went to meet him, Imagine what this stupid boy told me that which name is the boy (Their child) using I said i gave him my tribal name he the asked which surname is he using i tell am say na agagba which is my daddy’s name na he said no his son cannot bear agagba that the boy cannot be answering my fathers name i said Okay no problem i know he is your son i would not even deny you he said no that I must change his name to his own name which is kenneth i told him no problem… changing of the name is not my problem he then told me that when i change the name, he would start taking responsibility i told him no problem that changing the name is not an issue that okay if i want to change the name since this boy is not staying with me he used to come for holiday and I said since he is not staying with me and he is staying with my parents, Now go and visit my parent because my parent dont even know this guy my mom, dad sisters brothers they dont even know you and thank God my father has never disturbed me that where is the boy father who is the person that Impregnated you and i said okay for you to give them that respect, Go to our village tell them that you are sorry that you are the one that got their daughter pregnant This guy open mouth tell me say he no go fit go meet my parents saying that shey na him and my parents get something?? say shey na my mama he give belle say he does not have any business with my parents say anything wey we wan dey talk about the boy make we dey talk am say no need to go see my parents say they are not involved in this”
The woman said she had no problem with changing the child’s surname because she recognised Kenneth as the father. However, she wanted him to meet her parents and acknowledge them before taking responsibility for the child.
She explained that her parents had cared for the boy and that Kenneth had never met them. She therefore felt that visiting them and apologising for what happened would be a sign of respect.
The woman also shared another incident involving Kenneth.
She said he once called her and told her that he had visited a church where a prophet told him that he had offended someone and needed to apologise.
She continued:
“I said how how am i Your problem, he then said that his prophet told him that he offended someone ad then he needs to apologize to the person and i told him, I no be god, take care of your son carry the responsibility on your shoulder”
The woman has now shared her experience publicly, explaining how the situation has affected her and her son over the years.

I Used to Cry Because I Didn’t Have a Child – Mo Bimpe Recalls How She Was Left Out of Baby Showers
Yoruba actress Mo Bimpe has opened up about a painful period in her life, revealing that she was once left out of baby showers, naming ceremonies and children’s birthday celebrations because she did not have a child at the time.
The actress shared her experience in a video posted on her Instagram page, where she became emotional while reflecting on how she felt during that period.

According to Mo Bimpe, she would sometimes cry because she felt she had nothing to celebrate or a child to talk about, despite genuinely loving children and wanting to share in the happiness of people around her.
She explained that she later discovered that some people had deliberately excluded her from events involving children because she was not a mother.
“There was a time when I wasn’t invited to baby showers, naming ceremonies, children’s birthdays, or anything related to kids. Sometimes, these were people I knew personally.
“People I laughed with, worked with, and genuinely cared about. I remember wondering what I had done wrong. Later, I found out that some people intentionally left me out because I didn’t have children. At the time, it hurt deeply.
“Not because I wanted pity, but because I loved children. I wanted to celebrate with people. I wanted to share in their joy. What many people don’t realise is that struggling to conceive is already hard enough. The waiting is hard. The questions are hard. The insults are hard. The silent prayers are hard.
“Please don’t make it harder by excluding people. A woman without a child is not less deserving of love, friendship, inclusion, or celebration. Invite her. Love her. Celebrate with her. You never truly know what someone is carrying behind their smile.”

I use a machete to preach and fight evil spirits — Kenyan pastor
A Kenyan pastor, Archbishop Emmanuel, known for wielding a machete during church services, has explained that he uses it as a symbolic weapon to fight evil spirits.
Reflecting on his past, he revealed that 24 years ago, he lived as a heavy drinker until he experienced a divine calling that transformed his life.

He said: “God called me, he told me to stop joking and start serving him, God told me to use the same method prophet samuel used carrying a matchete to represent God kingdom because the place he was sending me was dangerous.”
He noted that every morning, he wakes up to sharpen his weapons because inside his church anything is possible
One of his church emmebr said: “Since i started attending emmaunel church i have seen countless miracles the lame stands up and walk, he cures serious diseases even HIV, he healed HIV and so many deadly diseases.”

According to Archbishop Emmanuel, he does not expect his church members to pay money for tithes, unlike other churches that often demand large sums from their congregants.

“Those we think are foolish on earth are the wisest in the kingdom of God and it’s true i can’t be rich because i don’t preach in wealthy areas where rich people hide, my mission is to save this place (Slum) the dangerous places where violence rules where pastors fears to go but for me it is not just for preaching it is a mission from God.” He added
Reacting to the viral vidoes of Pastor Emmanuel using machete, One of the church member said: “I really don’t know why people out there are so concerned about our bishop ways he knows exactly what he is doing they are just critics they dont see how many lives he saved, how much he sacrifice, many pastors abandoned this place and left us to suffer but God didn’t abandon us.
“Didn’t God Saul and later made him Paul? so why should God forget about people in the slums, we didn’t chose to live here thank God he sent us a savior, Bishop Emmanuel .”

It Is Only God That Can Prove I am his son ‘Jesus’ – Pastor Laments After Nearly Being Crucified by Church Members
A man named Yesu Wa Tongaren, who claims to be Jesus Christ, has revealed that he “died and rose again,” saying he was sent by God to teach people about the harsh and merciless nature of the world. He also warned that calamities are coming and that no one will be spared. See here
In an interview with Afrimax, Yesu Wa Tongaren stated that he had previously told his church members that one day he would receive visitors from Rwanda. He claimed that when that moment arrived, it would serve as confirmation that he is the true Jesus Christ.

“I will go to America, France, and other places in Europe. Even going to Israel, where Jesus lived, is still me going there because I am him. People struggle to understand this because spiritual matters differ greatly from physical ones. They are still very much in the flesh,” he said.
When asked how he managed to escape after his followers attempted to crucify him, he responded: “It is God alone that can reveal to them and enable them to know that i am the son of God my legal defender was also there …… God used him and it was all God’s will it pleased me because it went as God has planned he told them if i was not Jesus then they should bring their Jesus and show him but they could not they realized that I could not deny the father
He also spoke about people’s fascination with him, saying: “Water or wine that people talk about they have it here on earth and drink it alot which is why people love us and call out to jesus whenever they see us it is a wonderful thing that God has done”

I Lost 200M in One Day Because of the Love I Had for My Husband, I suffered With him but He Later Dumped me for another Woman
In a touching interview with Afrimax, a woman identified as Olive Kagendo opened up about how she lost a staggering 200 million shillings in a single day—all because of the deep love she had for her husband. See here

However, her world came crashing down when her husband suddenly changed. According to Olive, not only did he turn his back on her, but he also evicted her from their home, leaving her with absolutely nothing—despite everything she had sacrificed.
“I have built a lot of lands in Nairobi we have a lot of properties and even now this is our matrimonial room whereby i removed this from hope I cant explain why it is being done to me” She said while she cried in a part
Narrating the ordeal, she said: “I joined my high school in 1995 and whereby when i got to my high school there came a guy where we are going to the same church with him but he was ahead of me in terms of education …. when i was in high school, he was in the university but when i was in form 2 he came to do his attachment in my school this is where he got interested in me
“And from this time, when he was taking me, he was my teacher now doing some tuition in my high school so he was teaching me physics and mathematics and from there, he got interested in me he never told me because this is our culture from our church whereby when you get interested in a girl you must go and make a report to the elders of the church and then the girl is preserved for you so it took sometime until i completed my high school and when i completed my high school he came he came to the elders of the church and made the report and then this was also taken to my parents and when i finished my high school, i got married to him.

“He came to our home and all the marriage ceremonies were arranged and i was married through our marriage customary law in 2005”
According to Olive, after she eventually married her husband, they moved to Nairobi, Kenya, in search of a better life. Determined to build a strong foundation, Olive said she worked tirelessly—brick by brick—to support their growth. She sacrificed her own comfort, ignored the red flags, and poured her energy into making the marriage work.

She explained that despite the clear warning signs in her husband’s behavior, she continued to hope and pray for him, believing that things would eventually get better. But in the end, she realized that all her efforts were in vain.
Reflecting on their struggles, Olive recalled how difficult things were in the early years: “It was the first time for him to work so our life was so hard and when we started our life, we started from scratch without anything
“So he brought me to Nairobi I was very happy and i was very new in Nairobi so we came and looked for the house where it was bedsitter and this bedsitter we didn’t have anything especially the household items even a place to sleep we just slept on the floor and until he got his salary we went to buy mattress and also a bed and life started from there so his job was good and we started a Good life from there we were also advanced when it was back in 2007 he got a nice job in Kenya and corruption where the salary was better and the love started so from where we started it also came to a point where that now we were able to own some plots of land in Nairobi these plots, we built them up till a point whereby we had income from these houses
“In 2008, we were blessed with out firstborn a girl named “Queen Shoba” and this time now we were sitting in our own houses the rental houses
“in 2009, my husband got transfer from Nairobi headquarter to Mombasa still in Kenya and corruption whereby he went and worked there even then, I think the rank was better now we were able to build the houses comfortably … Then life was good we started another business
How she found out he was cheating on her, she added: “After sometime, himself alone was coming to check on us after every two weeks, he was coming …. when i go to visit him, he could stop me from going to the place where he was in Mombasa
“One day i decided to go quietly, when i went quietly to Mombasa, I traveled overnight with my small baby when i reached to Mombasa I went to the home where he was I found the house was locked when I called him he didn’t answer my calls so i decided to call our pastor in Mombasa when i called he told me I am a pastor and I don’t want to lie to you your husband got married to another woman and when he was leaving he told me when you come i should not disclose this to you
“So the pastor and another friends of him they came praying for me … the bus fare in the evening I went back and surely i was very tired with the little baby and very much stressed because of this”
Olive revealed that after everything fell apart, her husband never reached out—not a single phone call, no apology, no explanation. He simply ghosted her, forcing her to come to terms with the painful reality on her own.
She added: “But when I came back to Nairobi, I just kept quiet I didn’t ask him because of the love I have for him I didn’t imagine whether he can do this to me but all known, it was true that he was in a relationship and when it was 2010, I came to realize that even now he has given birth to a baby with this wife now this is when the threats started a lot … This is where life started being on my side because now i could not even make calls to him whenever I have emergency maybe the children are sick or maybe when i need him I could not even access him
“It went there up to 2012 … when I saw how things are being like is when i told him now off course we have enough income would you mind if we build another home he accepted and told me go ahead and look for a land so we can build a home and the home now is which we got where we are today
“The first time I told him I got this baby he told me that the baby is not his”
“When he went back to work, he called me when he was in town and told me i want to see you today up asked him why don’t you tell me what you want to tell me in the evening he told me no i want you to come to town because I have a lot of pain in me i didn’t go but in the evening he came back home and he didn’t come with that wife, he came with a divorce letter this is now 2016 he came with a divorce letter a court order for divorce and he told me i want us to divorce i asked him why are you divorcing me, what have I done wrong to you that you are divorcing me he told me I want us to divorce so what i did i told him no problem then I called my family members and told them that my husband has come with a divorce letter and I explained to them what has been happening to me one of my uncle told me now you see things are happening like this when i see a man coming to you with court papers to tell you that you want to divorce you just sign and send those papers because the decision he has made has make to you cant change it
“So in my head i didn’t understand why I am getting divorced i didn’t sign the papers overnight he kept on telling me sign the papers but I didn’t sign them”
“So the following day I was to go and make uniforms because now we had a security firm whereby i was the manager I was the one who was going for night patrols managing everything and we had good tenders … so the business was so good so that morning I was to go and make some uniform for new guards where I was to take them for some initials and when i went to town, before I got out of the house he told me when you finish picking up the uniforms i want you to come to town.
“Then i went to town he told me let us meet near the Kenya power house when I went, I met him when he was standing there waiting for me then he became somehow harsh to me he told me I want you to sign this papers so when i remember the ones from my family I just decided to sign the papers and i signed the papers and was supposed to appear in court within 14days and then I told him I don’t know anything about the court matters and everything … he told me the days are near I would tell you what to do
“So I waited and was counting my 14days which i was told he never told me anything Me I would never go to court anymore so even that one I didn’t follow”
She shared that she fell a sick one day and her husband came to the hospital to come and visit her so she was thinking he came out of love but only for him to tell her that his other wife found out he was still seeing her.

UK Man Banned From Female Toilets and Women-Only Spaces for 5 years Over Misogynistic Views and Risk to Women
A 29-year-old man described by police as having misogynistic views and posing a risk to women has been banned from entering or loitering around female public toilets, changing rooms and other women-only spaces in the United Kingdom. Get latest updates here on Our Whatsapp channel here
The man, identified as Victor Valentine from the St Paul’s area of Cheltenham, was handed a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court on August 24, despite never being convicted of a sexual offence.
A Sexual Harm Prevention Order is a preventative measure used to protect members of the public by placing restrictions on individuals considered to pose a risk of sexual harm.
The order against Valentine will remain in place until August 25, 2031.
Under the conditions, Valentine is prohibited from using a computer or any other internet-enabled device unless he complies with a number of requirements imposed by police.
He must notify the police VISOR team within three days of obtaining a device and register it with them. Any device he uses must be capable of retaining and displaying his internet-use history, while the history must be preserved without data being deleted.
Location services must also remain switched on, with location data not deleted. Valentine must make the device available for police inspection whenever requested.
He is also prohibited from possessing more than one internet-enabled device at any given time.
The order further prevents him from having a registered guest or alias account on a specified incel website or any other online platform, forum, chatroom or application that promotes or facilitates incel-related ideology or content.
Valentine has also been banned from entering, using or loitering near female public toilets, changing rooms or other female-only spaces for any reason.
Police said violating the conditions of the order could lead to his arrest and a maximum prison sentence of five years.
Detective Sergeant Paul Howell of Gloucestershire Constabulary’s Public Protection Unit said: “Valentine is well-known for his misogynistic hostility and violence towards women, and we are pleased to have secured this SHPO against him.
“Even though Valentine has not been convicted of any s3xual offences, this is a preventative measure to keep women and girls in the county safe from harm. This order will reduce Valentine’s ability to further explore his ideology and gives police the opportunity to monitor his behaviour in the community to help reduce his risk of further offending.
“Tackling violence against women and girls (VAWG) is a priority for Gloucestershire Constabulary and we will do all we can to prevent crimes, bring offenders to justice, and protect women and girls.”
The restrictions will remain in force for five years, during which police will be able to monitor Valentine’s compliance with the order.

I Was Getting Ready to Leave When the Dog Ripped Off My Face – Lady Reveals How She Survived Terrifying Dog Attack
A woman who suffered devastating facial injuries after being attacked by a dog has opened up about the incident and revealed the difficult journey she has faced through multiple surgeries. Get the latest updates on our WhatsApp channel.

The woman, identified as Samantha Redding, recalled how what was supposed to be a brief visit to a friend’s father’s house turned into a life-changing experience.
According to Samantha, she had gone to the house to pick up her friend, only to discover that she had already left to meet her at Samantha’s home.
She said she had spent only about 10 minutes inside the house and was preparing to leave when the dog suddenly attacked her.

“I was only in the house for about 10 minutes and I was getting ready to leave.
“I went to pick up my bag and the dog latched on to my face.
“The dog had never been nippy to me before.
“I actually can’t remember much from then except the dog growling and then the pain.
“Then I heard everyone shouting.

“I can’t remember how the dog got off.
“All I can remember is turning round after and seeing my face in the mirror and thinking my life was over.
“The dog was huge, taller than me when it stands on its back legs and probably weighs around the same as me, but it had never been nippy to me before.”
After the attack, Samantha managed to leave the house and contact her parents while she was being taken for medical treatment.
She said her parents initially thought she was joking when she called them because of the severity of what had happened.
“I facetimed them and all they said was they’d meet me at A&E.
“I wasn’t feeling much pain but I think that was the shock.
“My mum burst into tears when she saw me

“That’s when I realised how bad it was
“My face looked like something from a horror movie.
“I looked like a zombie and honestly I couldn’t see it getting better.
“There are times I wish the dog had killed me so I wouldn’t have to go through all of the operations.
“I thought I would look like a monster for the rest of my life.”
Doctors warned she needed several operations
Samantha was later transferred to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow, where specialists assessed the extent of her injuries.
Doctors took her into theatre to clean the wounds and determine how badly her face had been damaged.
She was informed that she would need between three and four major operations as surgeons worked to reconstruct her face.
For Samantha, the prospect of undergoing repeated surgeries while dealing with the physical and emotional effects of the attack was overwhelming.
She said: “This was terrifying.
“I was in constant pain, unable to eat except through a tube and my mental health was obviously taking a dip.
“I was told my next surgery would be a week later, as I needed lots of IV antibiotics before.
“They were going to have to take a graft from my arm to put on my face and a graft from my leg to cover the one on my arm.
“They were also taking veins from my arm to give me blood flow to the new patch on my face.
“I would need a tracheotomy as the operation would be almost 10 hours and I would be in the ICU after.”
Samantha said the consequences of those few minutes have continued to affect almost every part of her life.
She explained that she stayed away from her younger brothers for several weeks because she was afraid her injuries would frighten them.
She said: “My whole life has been affected by those ten minutes.
“I didn’t see my little brothers for five weeks as I didn’t want to scare them.
“All my family was amazing but I could tell they were terrified as well.
“Tesco has been amazing in supporting me through this.
“They gave me a career break, which gives me a full year off, so I know my job will be there when I’m ready to go back.
“I think the hardest part is getting through all the surgeries.
“I get used to how I look and get a little confidence back and then it changes again after every surgery.”
Although Samantha has undergone several procedures and continues to recover, she said the psychological effects of the attack remain difficult.
She still experiences memories of the moment the dog attacked her and said looking at her reflection can be painful.
She added:
“I get flashbacks of the dog’s face jumping up at me.
“I’ll always remember how hard life was in the hospital.
“When I look in the mirror, I hate it.
“As of now, all of the lacerations have been stitched and my skin graft is healing nicely.
“I still don’t have a lip.
“I just need to trust the process even though it can feel like it’s going nowhere. I can see the difference from January to now.
“I wish I could look normal again and just hope that the doctors and specialists can help me feel like myself again.”
