Man cries out for help as wife gives births to 11 babies

A 54-year-old woman named Alake Latoyosi from Ilorin, Kwara State, is seeking help after giving birth to 11 babies in Port Novo, Cotonou, Benin Republic.

Her husband, Yahaya Nafiu, explained that the babies were 8 boys and 3 girls, but sadly, two of the girls died during delivery.

“Just a few days after the first set of babies was born, my wife noticed unusual movements in her stomach. When we went to the hospital, a scan revealed she was carrying another set of babies. This led us to return to the original birth attendant, where the second set of five babies was delivered,” He said

It was reported that the first set of children was born on July 7, 2024, and the second set arrived on August 14, 2024.

The husband is now appealing for support from Nigerians. He said, “We are facing a major challenge in raising money for marriage rites, medical bills, and a police report before we can bring the children home to Ilorin to show them to my parents.”
