I never throw customers hair away, I use it to stuff cushions and fertilize plants

A lady named Penlin has revealed that she never throws away her customers’ hair; instead, she uses it to stuff cushions and fertilize plants.

In an interview with TLC, she shared that she started working at her father’s salon before attending university. Initially, her father would throw away all the hair he cut, but Penlin realized she could use the hair to save money.

“I have long hair, short hair, straight hair, curly hair, kinky hair. It doesn’t matter, I collect it, because hair has a lot of uses,” she said. “I use long strands of hair for the couch cushions because it makes them more comfortable to sit on.”

Penlin’s father added, “The customers may think that Penlin is really cheap—and she is. But she saves me and the shop a lot of money.”

Penlin concluded, “I’m always going to be a saver. To have more money in my pocket just makes me feel good.”
