A woman has shared a bizarre story she came across on Reddit about someone who allegedly discovered that the man she had married was actually her mother, who had reportedly faked her own death years earlier.

The story, narrated by a woman identified as Mama C, claims that the woman’s mother supposedly staged her death in a car accident in 2020, after which the family held a funeral and believed she was gone.

According to the narrator, the woman spent almost a year grieving her mother before meeting a man who eventually became her husband. She said she felt an unusually strong connection with him because he seemed to understand her in ways no one else did.

However, the narrator claimed that the woman later discovered that her husband was allegedly her mother, who had undergone gender transition and surgery before returning to her life under a different identity.

In the account, Mama C said:

“My mom faked her own death just to turn into a man and then married me. Yes, I’m. I’m as disgusted as you are right now. I have been married to my husband for five years. Five years. My mom passed away seven years ago, okay? In 2020. It was a car accident. We had a funeral for her, okay? It was absolutely devastating. I was literally grieving her for almost a year until this man comes into my life, sweeps me off my feet. Now, when I met him, I literally felt like we were. We were meant to be together. He knew things about me that I didn’t even know about myself, okay? He knew. Like, he. Obviously he knew because it was my mom the whole time. She literally faked her own death to transition into a man. She had surgery and everything. It took her 12 months. And now. Now that I have found out and kicked her ass out of my house, now she’s begging me and pleading with me. She has been helping me raise these kids. They call. They call her dad, and she’s actually grandma”
