A Black American woman identified as Kadesha Jenkins has shared her views on marriage and commitment, declaring that she has no intention of sharing her husband with anyone other than God.
Jenkins made the statement in a social media post, where she backed up her position by referencing a Bible verse that describes the qualities expected of an overseer, including faithfulness to one wife, self-control and respectability.
In her post, she made her position clear, writing:
“I’m NOT sharing my husband with no one but GOD!
“Therefore an overseer must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, sober-minded, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach,”
1 Timothy 3:2 ESV”
Her message connects her personal view of marriage with the biblical passage, which she cited to support her statement about commitment and having one wife.
