Kenyan Woman Arrested After Stabbing All Her 5 Children Following Her Husband’s Marriage to a Second Wife

A woman identified as Dorothy Namayo has been arrested by police in Uganda following a devastating incident in which her five children were reportedly stabbed, leaving two dead and three others injured.

The incident reportedly occurred on August 20, 2026, at the family’s home in Bunga, Ggaba, within Kampala’s Makindye Division.

Get the latest updates on our WhatsApp channel.

According to preliminary information, the tragedy happened after an argument between Namayo and her Malian husband, Ederisa Troy, who had reportedly taken a second wife.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the attack, including allegations that the marital dispute may have preceded the stabbing of the children.
One of the victims, 14-year-old Khadija Daizy, reportedly died after sustaining a stab wound to her neck.

Another child, seven-year-old Hawa Dalena, was taken to Nsambya Hospital for treatment but later died from her injuries.

Three other children, aged 13, eight and five, survived the attack and are receiving medical treatment.

Namayo was also found injured and was taken to Mulago National Referral Hospital, where she remains under police guard as investigations continue.

Police are reportedly treating the case as one involving murder, attempted murder and arson.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the incident may have followed a confrontation between Namayo and Troy over his reported second marriage.

The family’s housemaid, Mariam Saana, told police that the couple had experienced repeated domestic disputes for several months.

According to Saana, the problems allegedly began in May after Troy took another wife.

She told police that the couple frequently argued whenever Troy returned home.

“Since then, they have been fighting and quarrelling every time he comes home. There has been no peace here,” Saana told police.

Saana also reportedly told investigators that Troy wanted sons because Namayo had only daughters.

The children had previously contacted one of their father’s friends during an argument between the couple, and the man reportedly intervened before Troy eventually left the house.
Saana said she woke up at around 5am on the day of the incident after hearing a disturbance coming from the main house, which was located opposite the boys’ quarters.

When she opened her door, she reportedly saw a vehicle on fire outside the house.

She also saw one of the children at a window calling for help and saying that their mother had stabbed them.

Saana attempted to enter the main house but discovered that the locks had been changed and that the gate had been secured with a new padlock.

She raised an alarm, prompting neighbours to rush to the scene.

The neighbours reportedly broke open the gate and forced their way through the main entrance, which had also been locked from inside.

“When we got inside, we found the children’s rooms were also locked and had to force them open. We rushed the children in a police patrol vehicle to a clinic in Ggaba, and they were later referred to Nsambya Hospital,” one of the responders said.

Namayo was reportedly found locked inside a room and covered in blood. She was subsequently taken to hospital for treatment.
Godfrey Mukisa, one of the neighbours who responded after the alarm was raised, said gaining access to the house was difficult.

“When we entered, we found one child had been cut in the neck and was dead,” he said. “Another child had been badly st!bbed in the stomach, while the others also had stomach injuries.”

Mukisa said some neighbours initially hesitated to intervene because they viewed the situation as a private family matter.

“At first we heard the noise, but we didn’t want to interfere in the affairs of rich people. Then the girl kept calling and shouting at the top of her voice for help. Other people came out of their houses, and we managed to gain access. Police had also arrived, and we helped take the victims to Ggaba Hospital,” he said.

Another neighbour, Emmanuel Kazibwe, said the couple had reportedly quarrelled on several occasions but would eventually reconcile.

“We never imagined it would get to this point, with the woman k!lling her own children and then trying to take her own life,” Kazibwe said.
Kampala Metropolitan Police South, through Kabalagala Police Division, is investigating the incident and the circumstances surrounding the family dispute.

Investigators have reportedly recorded statements from witnesses and recovered physical exhibits from the scene.

The investigation is expected to establish what happened immediately before the attack, the sequence of events during the incident and the circumstances surrounding the deaths and injuries.

Postmortem examinations are also expected to help establish the precise causes of death of the two children.

For now, police have not released final findings concerning the motive. Claims surrounding the alleged marital dispute remain part of the ongoing investigation and have not been established as the final cause of the attack.

8-Year-Old Girl Dies After Contracting Rare Brain-Eating Amoeba Infection While Swimming

An 8-year-old girl identified by her family as Lillian has died after developing a rare brain infection linked to the “brain-eating” amoeba Naegleria fowleri after swimming in a northern Louisiana lake.

Get the latest updates on our WhatsApp channel.

Lillian died on Saturday at a hospital in Ruston, Louisiana, according to her family. Her death came just one day after she celebrated her eighth birthday.

Her family announced the heartbreaking news in a statement shared on social media.

They wrote:

“Last night Lillian ran from our arms to the arms of Jesus.

The injuries to her brain were too severe for her little body to recover from. Everyone did everything they could to keep her here. We are heartbroken and honestly do not know what to do next. How do we put one foot in front of the other without our girl?

Our foundation is still in Jesus. We didn’t get to keep our girl but we watched miracles happen on her behalf. We believe God is good. He will give us strength when we have none left. He’s given us a community of support that I don’t think can be found anywhere else in the world. Lil would have loved seeing everyone come together and she would have been right in the middle of it trying to help where she could.

We are devastated. We know you are too. Pray for our boys. They are going to need it so much. Pray for our friends and family, they are so sad and somehow still showing up for us. Pray for us, we won’t be able to do this without it.

We are so grateful to you for loving our girl.”

The Louisiana Department of Health announced on Wednesday that a state resident had been hospitalized after contracting Naegleria fowleri, a microscopic amoeba that can cause a rare and often fatal infection of the brain.

Lillian’s family later said that she had been receiving treatment in the pediatric intensive care unit at a Ruston hospital and identified Naegleria fowleri as the cause of her illness.

Health officials said the infection was most likely acquired while the patient was swimming in Lake Claiborne shortly before becoming sick.

Naegleria fowleri is commonly known as a “brain-eating amoeba.” It can enter the body through the nose when a person swims or dives in contaminated warm freshwater and can cause a severe infection of the brain.

Lillian’s family said doctors and medical workers did everything possible to save her, but the damage to her brain became too severe for her to recover.

Florida Couple Charged After Four Children Lived in Truck Cab for Nearly Seven Years Without Proper Food or Baths

A Florida couple has been arrested and charged with child neglect after authorities said four children were kept inside the cab of a tractor-trailer for nearly seven years, with little opportunity to bathe, use a proper restroom or spend time outside.

The suspects were identified as 51-year-old Keisha Epps and her 37-year-old fiancé, Tamra Marshon Stewart.

Get the latest updates on our WhatsApp channel.

Tamra Marshon

According to court documents, the children had reportedly been living with the couple inside the truck cab since December 2019 while Epps worked as a truck driver.

Investigators said the children had gone for years without proper bathing and had not taken a shower for about five years. They were also reportedly denied regular opportunities to exercise or spend time outside the vehicle.

The children were allegedly poorly fed and did not receive proper medical or dental care.

Court records further stated that the prolonged confinement affected the children’s physical condition, with investigators saying they developed an unnatural walking pattern.
During an interview with investigators, one of the children reportedly recalled suffering a serious burn after being injured by cooked noodles.

The child said:

“There were alot of blood”

According to the report, the child was not taken to receive medical treatment after the incident and was left with a permanent scar.

The children reportedly told investigators that Stewart would look after them while Epps slept, showered or drove the truck.
Children Reportedly Witnessed Abuse

The children also made disturbing claims about what they witnessed inside the truck.

According to their statements, they reportedly witnessed Stewart sexually abusing Epps. When the children confronted him about the behaviour, they said Stewart responded by punching them in the head.

One of the children was also reportedly found to have an untreated sexually transmitted infection.

The four children reportedly shared a single bunk inside the truck cab. Court records said the space was so small that they had to sleep “curled up side by side because they could not fit.”
Couple Arrested

Epps and Stewart were arrested on August 6, 2026, according to a heavily redacted report filed by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

Both suspects were charged with four counts of child neglect, with one count relating to each child.

Keisha Epps

Each charge is a third-degree felony carrying a possible sentence of up to five years in prison, up to five years of probation and a fine of up to $5,000.

Investigators said their conduct amounted to a “committed, willful failure or omission to provide a child with the care, supervision, and services necessary to maintain the child’s physical and mental health, including but not limited to, food, nutrition, clothing, shelter, supervision, medicine and medical services that a prudent person would consider essential to the wellbeing of the child.”

Court documents also state that “capital sexual battery charges” against Stewart are expected to be filed by the Statewide Prosecutor in the 9th Judicial District.

Under Florida law, a person convicted of sexual battery involving a child younger than 12 can face life imprisonment without parole or, in certain circumstances, the death penalty.

Authorities have not publicly released the children’s identities or other personal details. Their sexes, ages and relationships to one another and to Epps and Stewart were redacted from the documents.

Epps and Stewart remain in Duval County Jail as they await trial. Bond for Epps was set at $400,012, while Stewart was being held without bond.

Speaking about what happened, Alexis told The Post that she could only remember the moment the knife was used on her neck.

“Once I felt my neck got sliced, I was like, that’s it.

“All I know is like this is not the way I’m going out, like this is not the way I’m ending my life”

She said her survival was also helped by a woman who reportedly opened her home to her during the attack.

“The lady was that angel sent from heaven. If it wasn’t for her God only knows/

“I had blood all over her house.”

“She saved my life. Her opening the door made this man run away, scared him away.”

Alexis’ mother, Tricia, also spoke about the attack and expressed anger over the man’s previous criminal record.

“People are evil.

“You can’t fix him. People like that deserves to never see the light of day and walk free.”

“There is no place on earth that they belong, other than behind bars like an animal in a cage because they’re predators and they prey on innocent victims.

According to online court records, Paya has a lengthy criminal history involving previous misdemeanor offences in Arizona, as well as a prison sentence.

The 29-year-old was previously sentenced to five years in prison and ordered to undergo sex offender treatment and counselling after pleading guilty in September 2016 to robbing and assaulting a woman in December 2015.

Following the latest attack, Paya was arrested on the reservation the next day and was taken into federal custody on August 17 because the incident occurred on tribal land, according to Tricia and The Post.

Tricia said she remains concerned about what could happen if he is eventually released.

“So if he comes out, what next? Someone doesn’t survive. We are just lucky that she fought back and the cameras caught the assault ” Tricia said.
