I Have Never Dated a Man Who Asked Me for Money, if he earns 5,000 he must give me 3,000 – Toke Makinwa

Nigerian media personality Toke Makinwa has revealed that she has never been in a relationship with a man who asked her for financial support.

Speaking during an episode of her podcast, Toke Moments, the media star reflected on conversations about women who financially support their partners, saying her personal experience has been quite different.

She said:

“When I hear women say these things, I sit down and I ask myself…..”Men don’t ask me for money?”Maybe there is something written on my head. Maybe before you say ….I give you all my problems. Before you ask me, I am already listing all my problems…Today I have headache,,,maybe that is why! I have never dated a guy who asked me for money.

Even if I date a broke guy and he earns 5k, at least 3k out of that money, he will give it to me. I am thankful for that grace because I have never dated a guy who has confidently asked me for money.”
