I just confronted her— Man shares how confronting his wife led to five years in prison

A Kenyan man identified as Benard Ouma has opened up about a life-changing experience that led to his imprisonment and eventual acquisition of valuable vocational skills.

Speaking during an interview with Itugi TV, Ouma recounted how events unfolded after he left his family home in Mombasa, Kenya, to take up a contract job in search of a better life for his family.

According to him, while working away from home, he began hearing reports that his wife was allegedly involved in a relationship with one of his close friends.

Disturbed by the allegations, Ouma said he returned home to confront his wife about the situation.

However, the confrontation reportedly escalated into a violent altercation, during which his wife, identified as Esther, sustained a spinal injury.

Following the incident, police were called to the residence and Ouma was arrested.

He was subsequently charged with assault and later convicted by a court, receiving a five-year prison sentence.

Reflecting on his time behind bars, Ouma revealed that he used the period to learn welding and acquire practical skills that would help him rebuild his life after serving his sentence.

He explained that he participated in various work assignments within the prison environment, where he gained hands-on experience and developed his craft.
