Most African men marry white women old enough to be their mothers and submit to them, yet refuse to be submissive to fellow African partners — Man

A Nigerian man identified as Jimoh Noah Onaolapo has generated reactions online after sharing his views on relationships, gender roles, and expectations within marriage.

In a post on social media, Onaolapo criticized men who demand submission and domestic services from their partners while failing to treat them with respect, care, and fairness.

According to him, some of the same men who strongly advocate traditional gender roles often adopt a different approach when they relocate abroad and enter relationships with foreign women.

He argued that such men are often willing to participate fully in household responsibilities, including cooking, cleaning, and childcare, when it serves their personal interests.

Sharing his opinion, he wrote:

“So no be these same “strong patriarchal alpha men” you people hype online that travel abroad to date women old enough to be their mothers, wash pants, clean house, cook, babysit and do full domestic duties just to secure papers?

“If dem marry their mama age mate wey be oyinbo, Suddenly submission no go hard again. Suddenly house chores no go reduce masculinity again. Suddenly “woman place na kitchen” turns into teamwork for Odogwu Igbo man and Wasiu Yoruba man.

“But the same things they could not peacefully do for young beautiful black women back home without shouting “respect me, I am the man of the house.”

“Please abeg make una stop packaging patriarchy as strength. Many of these men are only traditional when the woman is African and socially conditioned to tolerate nonsense.”
