Pregnant Detroit Rapper Qualeisha Barnes Sh0t D£ad in Her Car

A pregnant Detroit rapper, Qualeisha Barnes, has been shot dead in her vehicle in a tragic early morning incident that authorities are now investigating as a homicide.

Police officers were called to the scene at approximately 1:23 a.m. on Wednesday, responding to reports of a person shot at the 2900 block of Springside Place.

According to Christopher Butler, officers arrived to find the 36-year-old expectant mother unresponsive inside her vehicle, suffering from gunshot wounds.

Investigators revealed that the victim was discovered inside an SUV that had come to a stop in the roadway.

Providing further details, Butler stated: “Upon arrival, they located a 36-year-old female deceased inside the vehicle from apparent gunshot wounds.

He added: “At this point, it appears that someone fired into the vehicle”

Authorities have indicated that the shooting does not appear to be self-inflicted and are treating the case as a homicide.

Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident, including whether the gunfire originated from inside or outside the vehicle. At this stage, no suspects have been identified.

Family members of the victim confirmed that Barnes was 14 weeks pregnant at the time of her death, adding another layer of tragedy to the case.

When asked about possible suspects or additional persons involved, Butler stated:
“No indication right now,”
