Businesswoman Sh£t D£ad in a Hotel by Prison warden Partner
Businesswoman Flávia Barros, 38, was found shot dead in a hotel room in Aracaju, Brazil, in the early hours of Sunday, March 22. Her partner, Tiago Sóstenes Miranda de Matos, is the primary suspect.
The couple had traveled to the city on Saturday, March 21, to attend a concert. Police arrived at the scene following reports of gunfire and discovered both individuals on the bed. A “40-calibre pistol” was seized at the location.
Reports indicate that after the shooting, Matos “also attempted to take his life.” He was transported to a hospital and remains in critical condition.
Matos serves as the director of the Paulo Afonso Penal Complex and holds a law degree.
The pair had been seeing each other since November of last year. However, Matos only officially asked Barros to be his girlfriend on March 15, which coincided with her birthday. The incident occurred exactly one week after they became an official couple.
Before her death, Barros lived in Paulo Afonso and was the owner of FB Soluções Financeiras, a firm specializing in debt settlement and financial services. She was also a law student in her fourth term at UniRios University Centre.
Her funeral is scheduled to take place today, March 23.

In a video shared on X, the woman explained that she normally sends money to her Access Bank account in Nigeria as a way of saving her funds.
According to her, she became concerned after noticing an issue with her account and attempted to contact her account officer, identified as Doris.

She said Doris initially did not respond to her messages, which she described as unusual, before eventually contacting her and asking whether she had withdrawn money from the account.
The woman said her account officer later accessed her account and printed her bank statement, where they reportedly noticed transactions involving N5 million.
She said: “She was giving me different excuses so suddnely she entered my account and told me to send her a email because she cannot enter my account again because they have blocked her, she logged into my account and printed the statement of my account and we saw the people that withdraw N5M from my account and their names is there their bvn, their photos are there that we can use to get them arrested and accorinding to my account officer, she said she would login into Palmpay and others that they use to in nigeria and i told her fine do it to see if we get any good reply.
“She then told me that accessbank did not do anything and she cannot do anything behind accessbank, I have emailed accessbank countless of times, I did not see their reply, I cry onto Nigerians please have mercy on me before accessbank kills me silently please have mercy on meN5m is too much to avoid for me……. The woman is now appealing to Nigerians, the Nigeria Police Force and Access Bank to look into the matter and help establish what happened to the money.
She also claimed that she had contacted the bank several times through email but had not received the response she expected.

Kalender, who played as a defender for Turkish second-tier club Bandırmaspor, died in hospital in Adana on September 23 after his condition deteriorated.
His death was announced by his wife, Çiğdem Kalender, who revealed that the illness was first diagnosed around nine months ago.

“During this process, the illness, which initially began in his eye, unfortunately spread to other organs over time.”

During the 2024/25 season, he made 25 appearances for Adana Demirspor in Turkey’s top-flight Süper Lig and scored one goal.
He also scored three other goals during his career, with two coming in the fourth-tier 3. Lig Group 2 and another in the Türkiye Kupası, Turkey’s equivalent of the FA Cup.
One of the notable achievements of Kalender’s career came during the 2020/21 season when he helped Adana Demirspor win the Turkish second-tier title.
His death at just 25 has left the Turkish football community mourning the loss of a young defender whose career was cut short by illness.
