Trump Issues 48-Hour Ultimatum to Iran, Thr£atens to D£stroy Their Major Power Plants
Donald Trump has issued a 48-hour ultimatum to Iran, warning of possible military action if the country does not allow safe passage for ships through the Strait of Hormuz.
The Strait, regarded as one of the world’s busiest routes for oil transportation, has reportedly been closed for about three weeks amid ongoing tensions involving the United States and Israel.
The disruption has already had a significant global impact, with energy prices rising sharply and concerns growing over potential inflation if the situation persists.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump stated:
“If Iran doesn’t FULLY OPEN, WITHOUT THREAT, the Strait of Hormuz, within 48 HOURS from this exact point in time, the United States of America will hit and obliterate their various POWER PLANTS, STARTING WITH THE BIGGEST ONE FIRST!”
The message was reportedly posted at around 11:45 p.m. (UK time) on Saturday, setting the deadline to expire shortly before midnight on Monday.
