A man in Florida has gone viral after being mistaken for Jeffrey Epstein due to a striking resemblance.
The trend began after a video surfaced online showing the man driving a convertible with the top down along a highway. The clip was shared by Andrew Posey, who captioned it: “Epstein out here in South Florida,” sparking thousands of reactions across social media.
As the video gained traction, many users commented on the resemblance, quickly turning the unidentified driver into an online talking point.
However, the man at the center of the attention later addressed the situation, making it clear that he is not the late financier.
Speaking in an Instagram video that has since received over a million likes, he said:
“And the next thing I know, I’m a viral sensation,”
“I’m not Jeffrey Epstein. I’m Palm Beach Pete!”
He also explained that he was unaware he had been filmed at the time, describing the situation as unexpected.
