Woman Declared Brain D£ad Comes Back to Life After Ambulance Jolt on Way to Funeral

A woman who had been declared brain dead shocked her family after showing signs of life while being transported home for her funeral.

The woman, identified as Vinita Shukla, worked as a head copyist at the Pilibhit District Court.

According to reports, Vinita suddenly fell seriously ill at her home in Uttar Pradesh. Her husband, Kuldeep Shukla, rushed her to a government hospital for treatment.

Due to her critical condition, doctors referred her to another medical facility in Bareilly for advanced care.
At a private hospital in Bareilly, Vinita was placed on a ventilator. During treatment, doctors reportedly informed her husband that her condition was beyond recovery and that she was effectively brain dead.

Kuldeep said the doctors advised the family to take her home, explaining that once she was removed from the ventilator, the outcome would be clear.

Despite his request to continue treatment for another night, the family was again told the following morning that nothing more could be done.
After receiving the heartbreaking news, Kuldeep informed relatives in Pilibhit, where preparations for Vinita’s funeral had already begun.

Her family members, including her mother-in-law, son, daughter-in-law, and daughter, were waiting at home for the ambulance carrying her body.
While transporting her back to Pilibhit, the ambulance reportedly hit a pothole near Hafizganj, causing a sudden jolt inside the vehicle.

Moments later, the family noticed signs of movement and life in Vinita’s body, leaving everyone shocked.

They immediately rushed her to a private hospital in Pilibhit for urgent medical attention.
Although doctors were initially hesitant to admit her, they eventually examined her after the family insisted.

The neurosurgeon who later treated her, Dr Rakesh Singh, suspected that her condition might have been linked to the effects of a snake bite.

Doctors administered anti-venom injections along with other treatments.

According to Dr Singh, Vinita’s condition began to improve within about 24 hours of receiving treatment. She was later referred to neurology specialists in Lucknow for further consultation.
After nearly 13 days of treatment, Vinita reportedly made a full recovery and has now returned home.

Her family has described the experience as nothing short of a miracle.
