A female licensed pilot has tragically l£st her life after falling from a hot air balloon following a crash landing on the roof of a high-rise building.
According to reports, the incident happened on the morning of March 9 at around 8 a.m., when three women were onboard the balloon during the flight.
The balloon reportedly struck a block of flats during the landing attempt. During the incident, one of the women, a 28-year-old pilot, fell from the gondola onto the roof of the building.
The two other women who were inside the balloon managed to make an emergency landing and were able to climb out of the gondola on their own.
The tragic incident occurred in Zielona Góra, Poland. Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene and rushed the two surviving women to the hospital, where they are said to be in stable condition.
Reports revealed that the accident happened about an hour and a half after the balloon took off from the aeroclub in nearby Przylep.
Footage from the scene shows the gondola lying on the road next to a bus, while the torn balloon was seen tangled in tree branches above the area.
