10-Year-Old Florida Boy Arrested After Thr£atening to Bring G£n to School
A 10-year-old boy in Florida has been arrested after authorities say he wrote a thr£atening message on a classroom whiteboard listing people he intended to harm.
The incident reportedly occurred at Pride Elementary School in Deltona.
According to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office, the child allegedly wrote a message stating that he planned to bring a gun to school and included the names of people he intended to k-ll.
Authorities said the boy was taken into custody and charged with a felony following the discovery of the message.

Officials confirmed that the parents of the three students whose names appeared on the list were contacted about the situation.
However, deputies said the boy later told investigators that he did not mean the threat.
Video released by the sheriff’s office shows the child in handcuffs being escorted from a patrol vehicle and taken into a detention center.
Authorities also said the boy’s parent told investigators that he did not have access to any firearms.

“The parent of the defendant indicated he does not have access to any firearms. That doesn’t change the consequences of his actions,” the sheriff’s office said in a social media post.
“This is another reminder to talk to your kids and teach them this lesson before they learn it in the juvenile justice system.”
