I have just €10 in my account- Man living abroad says most people overseas are just pretending and are actually broke

A Nigerian guy has gone viral on social media (especially TikTok and reposted everywhere) with a raw, eye-opening video about the real struggles of life abroad. He’s basically pulling back the curtain on the “abroad life is sweet” narrative that a lot of people back home believe.

In the clip, he straight-up admits: “As I’m making this video, I have only 10 euros in my bank account now.” He goes on to explain that this isn’t just him—tons of people living in Western countries (Europe, UK, US, etc.) are actually in the negative, running on overdrafts and barely scraping by.

He contrasts it hard with life in Africa (especially Nigeria), saying it’s common here for businessmen or big players to easily pull out €100,000 to €300,000 cash or have that kind of liquid money ready. But abroad? Forget €20,000 sitting comfortably in someone’s account—most people don’t have it like that at all.

His exact words hit deep: “But here in the West, nobody has that money. This is to tell you how poor most guys that are living abroad are.”
