A wheelchair user has drawn attention on social media after a video showed her crawling down a flight of stairs when a lift reportedly failed to work.

The incident, which reportedly occurred on June 27, was captured on video and later shared online.

The footage shows the woman dragging herself down the stairs using her hands while carrying her wheelchair. Several people nearby watched the incident, while some recorded it on their mobile phones.

The video eventually reached Mayor Janete Aparecida, who called for an investigation into the incident and ordered officials to identify the woman involved.

After locating her, authorities advised her to file a police report so the circumstances surrounding the incident could be formally investigated.

A Nigerian lady, identified on TikTok as @vintage_shirt, has shared her experience after following spiritual advice she came across on social media.

In a video, she explained that everything began after she watched a TikTok video in which a self-described spiritualist advised people seeking good luck to bathe with salt and water.

According to her, she had just launched her clothing business at the time and was receiving a steady flow of customers whenever she advertised her products on her WhatsApp status.

She said she decided to try the salt-and-water bath after watching the video, hoping it would bring even more success to her business.

However, she claimed that things took a different turn afterward.

According to the lady, her business began to slow down, sales dropped significantly, and she eventually found herself with no money in her bank account.

Reflecting on her experience, she cautioned people against blindly following everything they see on social media, especially advice related to spiritual practices.

She urged viewers to think carefully before acting on online content and encouraged them not to imitate every trend they come across.

Two people have been arrested after climbing to the top of the Empire State Building in New York City to stage a marriage proposal.

The pair, who were dressed in black, were seen scaling the building’s antenna without safety harnesses before standing on a narrow ledge near the summit, approximately 443 metres (1,454 feet) above Manhattan.

Footage captured from a helicopter showed the couple embracing and preparing to kiss after unfurling a banner that read:

“When the power of love beats the love of power, the world knows peace.”

The daring stunt drew the attention of authorities, and shortly after the climbers descended from the antenna at around 1 p.m., officers moved in and arrested them.

According to reports, the two individuals are believed to be Russian nationals.

Confirming the incident, a spokesperson for the New York Police Department told AFP:

“Two individuals were taken into custody without incident. There are no injuries reported. Charges are pending, and the investigation is still ongoing.”

No injuries were reported during the incident, and authorities are continuing their investigation.

A Ghanaian woman has reportedly been hospitalized after collapsing upon discovering that her husband had allegedly married another woman without her knowledge.

The incident was shared on Facebook by a man identified as Fati Aboni, who said the woman is currently receiving treatment at a hospital. According to him, the incident occurred on Friday, June 26.

Fati claimed that the woman and her husband had been living happily together until she learned just hours earlier that he had secretly taken another wife.

He wrote: “First wife is at the hospital on admission and second wife is home enjoying her new marriage.

My dear brothers, uncles and Fathers, I will plead with you on this issue.

A Nigerian woman has gone viral on social media after sharing her opinion on why some women ask men for money while dating.

In a video making the rounds online, she argued that financial requests from a woman can sometimes be a way of assessing a man’s willingness to support her and potentially build a future together.

According to her, many men misunderstand such requests and fail to recognize what she described as a form of relationship test.

She said:

“Once a girl starts asking you for money, she’s planning to marry you. Yes, it’s a test. Give her that money. If you don’t have that money, go and borrow it. It’s a test. She’s testing you.”

The woman went on to suggest that men who are unwilling or unable to meet such requests may lose the opportunity to be considered for a long-term relationship.
