A Nigerian mother of four based in Canada has taken to social media to openly explain the painful events that led to the collapse of her marriage.
The woman, identified as Ada Igbo, revealed that her marriage crumbled after she discovered that her husband had impregnated their maid, a revelation she described as the final straw in an already troubled union. According to her, the betrayal shattered her trust completely and made it impossible for the marriage to continue.
Ada explained that leaving the marriage was not an easy decision, especially as a mother of four. However, she stated that staying would have caused more emotional harm to herself and her children. She also shared that leaving her children entirely in the care of their father was not an option she felt comfortable with.
She further disclosed that it has been over a year since she walked away from the marriage. During this time, she said she reached out to her estranged husband for financial support to help care for the children, but her requests were allegedly ignored. According to her, his family also failed to intervene or offer any form of assistance.
She wrote: “January 4th makes it one full year since I left my marriage with my children.
And ever since, people keep saying:
“You shouldn’t be taking care of those kids alone.”
“Their father should be providing.”
“Why didn’t you leave them with him?”
“Why don’t you send them back to Nigeria?”
Let’s remove one thing immediately: leaving my children with their father is not an option. So let’s scrap that.
Yes, their father should be providing. I agree.
That’s why I wrote him a letter asking for financial support.
He read it.
He ignored it.
He said nothing.
His family said nothing.
Till today, silence.
So now I want to genuinely ask those who keep talking:
Since I “shouldn’t carry the burden alone,” what exactly should I do?
Drop my children on the main road and go and live my life?
Hand them over to someone who has chosen to be absent?
Return them to a situation I left to protect them?
People talk like single parenting is a choice I woke up and made for fun.
As if I didn’t first try communication.
As if responsibility can be forced on a man who has decided to be mute.
This is a sincere question:
How do you make a man who has chosen to be a deadbeat suddenly become involved in his children’s lives?
Because from where I’m standing, I didn’t choose to do this alone.
I was left with no other safe option.
And until someone gives me a realistic answer, I will continue choosing my children over people’s opinions.
It’s 4days to Christmas and I decided to scream out hopefully I get help”

South African Man Injured After Being Mistaken for Robbery Suspect
A 29-year-old South African man was left seriously injured after he was allegedly mistaken for a robbery suspect and attacked by two unidentified men in Amaoti, KwaZulu-Natal.
The incident reportedly occurred during the early hours of Sunday morning.
The pair allegedly accused the two friends of being involved in robberies in the area before launching a violent attack using a metal object.
During the assault, the 29-year-old suffered a broken hand along with injuries to his head, face and other parts of his body.
His friend was reportedly able to flee the scene and escape further harm.
Emergency responders from Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called to the location and arrived at approximately 1:49 a.m.
Following the incident, both men reportedly denied any involvement in criminal activities and maintained that they were not robbery suspects.

According to the post, the incident reportedly occurred on June 5, 2026.
Witnesses at the scene repeatedly urged her to open the bag and explain what she was carrying. The crowd continued questioning her as tensions rose during the confrontation.
At one point in the video, some individuals attempted to pull the item from her hands. After a brief struggle, the contents allegedly fell to the ground, prompting strong reactions from those gathered at the scene.
People in the video could be heard expressing shock and disbelief, with some shouting, “Jesus, this is wickedness.”

A man identified as Lennox Mugambi has shared his heartbreaking story of how his dream of building a better life in Germany turned into years of homelessness.
Speaking during an interview, Mugambi revealed that he has been homeless in Frankfurt, Germany, for the past four years despite spending nearly a decade hoping for an opportunity to leave Africa and start a new life abroad.
“I have been sleeping outside for two years but have been homeless for four years. I was staying in a place where other homeless people slept, but since I could not cope with their rules and regulations, I was thrown out. They are very strict. Some of the rules include having to sleep and wake up at certain times, being present, and always being reachable, among others,” he said.
Mugambi explained that one of the major factors that worsened his situation was the loss of his personal documents, which he said were stolen.
He stressed the importance of keeping identification documents safe, noting that stolen documents can easily be misused.
“When documents are stolen, they can be used for illegal activities. Some are even sold and can end up in the wrong hands. It is very important to keep them on you or store them somewhere safe. As soon as your residence permit or documents are lost, you should report it to the police. I also got in touch with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the matter, so I am just waiting for communication,” he said.
The father of one also opened up about personal and family challenges that contributed to his current circumstances.
According to him, he did not have a good relationship with his father, and the pressures of balancing education, work, and family responsibilities eventually became overwhelming.
“I was pursuing my bachelor’s degree, but I got overwhelmed by stress and everything broke down. During that period, I became a father. My daughter is now turning five years old. At the same time, I had to work full-time while pursuing my studies and taking care of my family. It was not easy,” he explained.
