Man Seriously Injured After Being Attacked by Community Members

A man has been left seriously injured after being attacked by members of a community following allegations that he sexually assaulted his girlfriend’s five-year-old daughter.

The incident occurred on December 15, 2025, after Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received a distress call at approximately 6:11pm. The caller reported an incident involving a minor and requested urgent assistance.

Upon arrival at the scene, reaction officers were informed by residents that they had questioned the child. It was alleged that the child’s mother had fallen asleep earlier in the day after consuming alcohol on Sunday afternoon.

During that time, the mother’s boyfriend was accused of sexually assaulting the minor.

While responding to the complaint, officers discovered that members of the community had already taken action against the suspect. According to RUSA, the man was being assaulted by a group of residents nearby.

RUSA later confirmed the situation, stating: “While attending to the complaint, Reaction Officers observed a group of community members assaulting a man nearby. It was established that the individual was the alleged suspect in the sexual assault. He sustained serious injuries during the mob attack,”.
