Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, has revealed plans to donate 25 percent of his wealth to the Aliko Dangote Foundation in the event of his death.

Dangote made the disclosure during the launch of the foundation’s new education initiative in Lagos. While speaking at the event, he explained that the decision has already been approved by his family, ensuring the commitment will be honored if anything happens to him.

According to Dangote, both his mother and his three children have given their full consent to the arrangement.

He stated: “My mother and my three children have already signed off on this deal should anything like death happen to me,”

Beyond the pledge, the business mogul also announced plans to significantly expand the foundation’s educational support. He revealed that ₦100 billion will be invested in 2026 to support more than 155,000 learners across Nigeria.

In addition, Dangote disclosed that the foundation will provide ₦590 million annually to support a school for orphaned girls in Maiduguri, ensuring the institution continues to operate and care for vulnerable children.
