Archaeologists Discover 2,700-Year-Old Woman Remains Alongside Her Crown
A team of scientists has uncovered the 2,700-year-old remains of a woman during an archaeological excavation that began after the construction of a solar park prompted local officials to authorize a full investigation of the area for historical artefacts.
According to reports, the archaeological team made a remarkable discovery when they unearthed the burial site of a woman now referred to as the “Lady with the Inverted Diadem.” The remains are believed to belong to a woman aged between 20 and 30 years old, who was found with an inverted crown placed upon her head — a rare and symbolic burial style.
Speaking about the discovery, the spokesperson for the team said: “On her head, as a symbol of her superiority and position, an impressive bronze banded diadem crowned with a large rosette, ‘in the form of a sun’ in the centre of the forehead, had been ceremonially placed.
“The elaborate diadem is made with the embossed technique and bears the current decoration of facing pairs of heraldic lions, male and female, animals that symbolise royal power and authority par excellence.”
“In the same group of graves, a burial of a minor girl of about four years of age was found, crowned with a bronze diadem with inlaid rosettes.
“The burial dates back to the same period of the early archaic period and was richly endowed with similar jewellery to that of the noblewoman, a fact that possibly indicates the existence of a kinship bond between them.”

Woman caught after drowning her 5-year-old child following claims by a spiritualist that the child was preventing her from getting pregnant again
A woman has caught as she drowns her 5-year-old child after allegedly believing that the child was the reason she had been unable to conceive again.
According to information shared in a video circulating on social media, the woman claimed that she had not become pregnant since giving birth to the child five years ago.
According to her account, the man told her that the child was responsible for her condition and warned that unless the child was gotten rid of, she would either continue to face difficulties conceiving or give birth to children with similar challenges with her 5year old child who is also unable to walk.
The woman reportedly acted on the advice before she was stopped and confronted by members of the public.

South African Man Injured After Being Mistaken for Robbery Suspect
A 29-year-old South African man was left seriously injured after he was allegedly mistaken for a robbery suspect and attacked by two unidentified men in Amaoti, KwaZulu-Natal.
The incident reportedly occurred during the early hours of Sunday morning.
The pair allegedly accused the two friends of being involved in robberies in the area before launching a violent attack using a metal object.
During the assault, the 29-year-old suffered a broken hand along with injuries to his head, face and other parts of his body.
His friend was reportedly able to flee the scene and escape further harm.
Emergency responders from Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called to the location and arrived at approximately 1:49 a.m.
Following the incident, both men reportedly denied any involvement in criminal activities and maintained that they were not robbery suspects.

Witnesses at the scene repeatedly urged her to open the bag and explain what she was carrying. The crowd continued questioning her as tensions rose during the confrontation.
At one point in the video, some individuals attempted to pull the item from her hands. After a brief struggle, the contents allegedly fell to the ground, prompting strong reactions from those gathered at the scene.
People in the video could be heard expressing shock and disbelief, with some shouting, “Jesus, this is wickedness.”

A man identified as Lennox Mugambi has shared his heartbreaking story of how his dream of building a better life in Germany turned into years of homelessness.
Speaking during an interview, Mugambi revealed that he has been homeless in Frankfurt, Germany, for the past four years despite spending nearly a decade hoping for an opportunity to leave Africa and start a new life abroad.
“I have been sleeping outside for two years but have been homeless for four years. I was staying in a place where other homeless people slept, but since I could not cope with their rules and regulations, I was thrown out. They are very strict. Some of the rules include having to sleep and wake up at certain times, being present, and always being reachable, among others,” he said.
Mugambi explained that one of the major factors that worsened his situation was the loss of his personal documents, which he said were stolen.
He stressed the importance of keeping identification documents safe, noting that stolen documents can easily be misused.
“When documents are stolen, they can be used for illegal activities. Some are even sold and can end up in the wrong hands. It is very important to keep them on you or store them somewhere safe. As soon as your residence permit or documents are lost, you should report it to the police. I also got in touch with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the matter, so I am just waiting for communication,” he said.
The father of one also opened up about personal and family challenges that contributed to his current circumstances.
According to him, he did not have a good relationship with his father, and the pressures of balancing education, work, and family responsibilities eventually became overwhelming.
“I was pursuing my bachelor’s degree, but I got overwhelmed by stress and everything broke down. During that period, I became a father. My daughter is now turning five years old. At the same time, I had to work full-time while pursuing my studies and taking care of my family. It was not easy,” he explained.
